Yaya contract

Legend and wasnt that bad today but I'm fucking staggered after the years of inept Anfield performances with him at the heart of it we are still here with him starting games there, it's quite amazing considering he started the season out of the pitch yet here we are. And loads of morons think Pep taking this job was "the easy choice". Laughable.
 
Can't believe we are discussing this. Time to move on - release him.

He has served us well with some amazing performances & fabulous goals that I will always remember.

Thank you very much for everything you have done.

For all those posters waxing lyrical about yaya's recent performances , me included , we witnessed an end of an era today he cannot compete at the top level anymore the game passed him by he was a spectator. He looks OK agaisnt Palace , Burnley and Hull but any top 6 side or decent european outfit and he will come up short . His agent will get him his final lucrative move , probably China and not a moment to soon , thanks everything Yaya it was a blast
 
He wasn't the worst today, by any stretch, but time is catching up with him. Can do a decent job in about 75% of our games, but I'm sure he'll leave in the summer. It'd be the right move for both parties.

It needed breaking up 2 seasons ago, and yet we are still reliant on them, which is why we often fail in games like yesterday.

Yaya will be needed in the next few months, he's still comfortably our best at ball retention, and has the best array of passes, but we need to move on in the summer.

Frightening isn't it that we still need to rely on him. I agree he is still needed as the alternatives are just not there.

Probably means next season will also be another transition season with all the new signings we will need to make. I can't see us needing less than 5 new players. Possibly more.

It's really poor planning.
 
Gundogan isn't good enough either.

Toure just went deep continually yesterday when we needed to mix it at the edge of the penalty area and commit people. the old Yaya would have been perfect against a retreating defence but yesterday showed up the weakness in his game. He's gone and we need to move on instead of going back and relying on the old guard. There are a few positions like that. Do we have alternatives in the squad?

I'm more optimistic about next year, as I don't think 5 new players is difficult to cope with. I'm also optimistic we'll bring some through from below, who won't need integrating as much, as they should already have the right ideas built into them.

I'm disappointed that Maffeo has been loaned out because he should be getting the chance here for me, even if he is still 3rd in line.
