Yaya/Dzeko and Ramadan

Didn't think Nasri was strict and I saw Dzeko drinking out of a bottle during the Swansea match

religion is something very personal and intimate and it is really unnecessary to discuss if dzeko fasts or not is he orthodox or not...point is if they fast they will find way to deal with it since they r pros end of...to tell that minority of muslims in bosnia are practical or not is also stupid since you never actually counted people that fast so stop generalising..in general, muslims in bosnia are pracitcal but there are a lot of people with muslim names, fullstop

to conclude, i am very pleased that there are lot of muslims in prem and that they practice their religion showing its acutally working which also puts prem league to higher level imo

peace

I am Muslim from Bosnia, and according to our understanding quran, if your work and health will be affected by fasting it is not obligatory and can be postpone for when possible, or in some cases by , like chronicle disease, you feed some number of poor people, so Dzeko, even if practicing Muslim have a right not to fast.

had no idea Dzeko was muslim, just shows the media makes us believe a muslim is in the image they portray i.e. terrorist. I thinks it's great they still undertake something they strongly believe in, in such a hard environment to undertake. good on em'. Very insightful read.

So Yaya looks like a terrorist?

There were full page interviews and back story around Dzeko and his religion in the papers when he arrived at City, and also his experience during the war when Yugoslavia was breaking apart.

'Edin is a practising Muslim but prays once a day rather than the traditional five. He is also extremely generous - he once gave a new Skoda Octavia to a taxi driver in Bosnia who used to give him a lift to training when he was a boy'.

awww hes such a sweet guy

Nasri fasts but doesn't on some matchdays... he is religious.
Yaya and Kolo are quite religious even though they have tattoos (strictly forbidden in Islam), however they say they did not know at the time. Edin is not religious.
Couple of youth players/reserves are v. religious (Muslims)

Edin Dzeko is religious...albeit an unorthodox Muslim as he only prays once a day
