Yaya says Pep "does not like African players" - Pep says "he's lying and knows it"

I assume he’s not had hordes of offers from clubs desperate for him to showcase his speed around the pitch then?

I always try hard to divorce the talent from the person in any field of life. I wish I could tell you I always succeed. Yaya the footballer has given me some of the best City related moments; Yaya the man, not so much.

So if he was seriously asking if it was because of his colour, does that mean he doesn't see our black players as properly black because they're not from Africa? Sounds racist to me.

I had dogs abuse on here, for saying that he would be bad mouthing as soon as he left. Next he will say, lost in translation, and he was promised a coaching role.......

98% wanted that worthless extra year.
Most were saying he would get another premier club. Statue anybody?

Cannot believe they named something ( even if it was only a pitch) to provide a legacy.

Surely Pep has to lawyer up over this? You can't just say shit like this publicly with absolutely zero proof.

Let me start by saying that racism has no place in any civilised society and if something ever does come out to give these claims any credence then I will be the first to apologise but this is my take on it.
If there was any suggestion of racism then Yaya should have gone public while still at the club, he should have refused to play for the club on a point of principle until action was taken against Pep. He should have refused to be part of any presentation involving Pep at the end of his final game with us. The fact that none of this happened leads me to believe that Yaya is just a very bitter man who can not get past his own ego. Did he really think that he was going to have a leading role in a Pep team with a high press. For the last two or three seasons 95% of all the fans were claiming that he was in decline and the Yaya of old long gone.
Was he racist to Zabba, Clichy, Kolarov, Hart, Willy etc.. when they were deemed not suitable for what Pep was trying to implement? Was he being racist to Aguero when he dropped him as he didn't feel he was working hard enough? No
I will always remember Yaya as a great player but outside of this he can go fuck himself.

I'm guessing the club felt they had built some bridges given how they ended it all. We stayed classy like we always do.

Yaya is simply a cnut. There is nothing else to add.

Its a shame it has to be this way. He has given me too many happy times for me to truly verbally lay into him. He's had a total brainfart here, I think his problem is with the manager, not the club or fans.

Indefensible statement and I don't understand why he would say those things now.

I said he would as soon as he left but the racist card is a fucking disgrace

Surely nobody is shocked or surprised by it ?

Anybody who thinks his slimy agent spoke without YaYa's permission is nuts.

To be fair to Pep, how many African players have won the world cup for an African Team? Or won world player of the year?

They are just not that good generally compared to South American or European players and usually aren't very good after the age of 31-32

His problem is with his own ego full stop
