Yaya says Pep "does not like African players" - Pep says "he's lying and knows it"

One of our greatest ever on the pitch.
Sadly will be forever tainted by some trully stupid behaviour by him and his agent. He could have been a club legend, but the way he continues to stick barbs at us when we compensated him so we'll over the years and persisted with him as the main man of our midfield for provably a year or 2 too long. You'd think we had mistreated him by the way he seems to hate us. Very spoiled and very sad, because he was one of my all time favourite players to watch at his peak.

Quotes from the mail’s coverage:

‘Pep did everything to spoil my last season. He was cruel with me,’ said Toure. ‘Do you really think he could’ve been like that with Andres Iniesta? It got to the point I asked myself if it was because of my colour. I am not the first. Other Barcelona players asked the question.

‘Maybe us Africans aren’t always treated the same by certain people. When you see the problems (Pep) has often had with African players, everywhere he has been, I ask myself questions. He is too intelligent to be caught. He will never admit it. But the day he picks a team with five Africans in it, I promise I will send him a cake.’

He must be completely deluded about what he brings to the team these days. Great passer but opponents fly past him as if he’s not there when we’re being countered. Iniesta has been far more mobile than yay even in the twilight of his career. Personally I think yaya considers himself bigger than the club and pep not rating him as highly as he rates himself drives him mad. Just my opinion.

I kind of hope he goes to United now, wins nothing, only gets sub appearances and realizes afterward that he blew his real chance at being a true legend to the one club that would really have loved and appreciated what he did for all time.

Spot on. Club did everything for him and more, rightly so of course as he was instrumental in our success but there comes a time where he has to move on.
Slightly disappointing but time to put Yaya outbursts behind us and really not pay them much attention.

All over Tuesday's back pages in the English newspapers. Will give Raz a bit of a break until he loses the WC for England.

Disrespectful motherfucker basically called Pep a fraud -

Touré said: “As someone proud, he wants to succeed with his players, those he has chosen and not those who have been chosen by others. This is his project. And woe to him who does not belong to it. Actually I want to be the one who breaks the Guardiola myth a bit. Barcelona, he did not invent it. He just had the intelligence to adapt what Cruyff had set up. Then, at Bayern and City, he tried to reproduce the same patterns but with this requirement: working with ‘his’ players and with almost unlimited means. It would not work at Crystal Palace or Watford.

“For me Zidane is bigger because he has fewer requirements and shows great respect for all his players. Pep, he wants to be considered a genius. He loves it. But there is a lot of comedy behind all this, it’s a bit of anything. He creates a character. When I see him scratching his head in full match to show that he thinks thoroughly, it makes me laugh. It’s comedy.”

Toure didn't get on with Pep even in their Barca days, I think he's been treated remarkably well by Pep and the club, considering, his history. Total twat, to come out with this racist allegation shit, shows him for what he his.

Yaya is and was a quality player. He could use his voice for positive influence and change the game. Instead he seems hell-bent on being at the centre of attention as his playing career hits its twilight years. He is 35 years old and the game may stay with him for 5 more years if he applies his body and mind. If not he will be a pundit on a poor TV station. This is a crying shame because the player, if he uses his knowledge and talent could lead a club to honours or even change UEFA or FIFA's stance. He has worked hard along the way, in training, off the field but needs to focus his boredom and chop away the dead weight that is an agent who could work as a spin doctor at The Sun.
