Yaya: seriously, is he technically average or excellent?

Seriously mate,

After today you question his ability, the match I was watching he was excellent espeacially after Mario went off.

Great Aquisition IMO

Forza Mancini!!

Wooow guys relax, did you even read what he wrote? You are putting it into the wrong context. Its not about him being good or not today, its the fact he can do things as easy and excellent as Messi, but also be clumsy as hell. Its WEIRD, and makes you wonder if that makes him excellent, or if that combined makes him average.

I love how he looks like he's taking a stroll in the country when he goes on one of his runs yet still goes past everyone in sight for 70 yards.

Sam makes mental note..." must read posts carefully b4 replying" :)

I think, OP, you ask the wrong question.

Last week, after the Wolves loss, there were posters calling for his head. I wrote, back then, that the reason Yaya broke forward so much was that he felt he could help sustain the attack better than Barry and thus that was borne out today.

Barry held his position more and Yaya got forward to much better effect.

How we played in pre-season with him in the forward position, was something I thought would happen as a rule during the season. After today, reverting to the pre-season type support he gave, I think he'll be there more often than not, with Barry and Milner alternating roles as I also suggested in the other post.
