Yaya to leave soon?

I think after the season Yaya has had I reckon he and his agent are out to see if they can get one final big pay day with City.

I originally thought he might have had his head turned but at the end of the day no team in world football can afford his fee and wages combined, you say PSG but they are in the same boat as us FFP sanction wise.

This Russian agent is the same fella who 2 years ago after the previous league title decided to start spinning shit about there being no photos of Yaya on the outside of the stadium and he was really upset!

If I remember correctly it was all about the money then as it is now. Anyone who thinks different is mad. He has watched Rooney clinch £300,000 a week and now seen Messi get more. Both those players have achieved that in seasons of failure. Yaya has had success and has scored 20+ goals from midfield.

The long and the short of it is he wants more dough and as usual his agent has been told to leak rumours. Sad thing is, contract or no contract, we either pay it or he becomes a bad apple.

Sad but true.

My opinion, sit him down, discuss what he wants, pay the man and keep it quiet.

That's if we want to keep him of course. After all we have another ACN this year and he ain't getting younger. Maybe we should sell him and demand £100m+. Good or not I am not sure with age and wage many would go near him at that price and running cost.

Stick or Twist?

Manchester City's Yaya Toure 'wants to quit the club'

Manchester City star Yaya Toure is reported to want to quit the club.

The Ivory Coast midfielder, 31, is even believed to be prepared to take a pay cut to return to his former club Barcelona.

The star, who is on £11m a year at City, has only just helped the club win the Premier League title, but is understood to be unhappy, and would even consider a move to another English team, the Sun reports.

The player's agent, Dimitry Seluk, told the paper that the club's attitude towards Toure was not up to scratch - a point he said was proved by them forgetting his 31st birthday last week.

Toure's birthday coincided with a bash thrown by the club's owner Sheikh Mansour in Abu Dhabi to celebrate winning the title.

He told the Sun: "There's a big possibility Yaya will leave this summer. Yaya is very upset.

"It's not possible to buy relationships with money. And if they cannot shake the hand of Yaya, bye, bye, no problem.

"What happened at his birthday meant the club don't care about him. It was proof."

Seluk said City made Toure feel like "a nobody" despite his huge contribution to its success.

This sums up the typical money grabbing agent, cockroaches , with no moral backbone.
City made Yaya into the world beating player he now is, we didn't cherry pick a complete player.
We should get massive tarpaulin photos of all our players plastered all around the outside of the ground, or inside the windows of the entrance to the stadium, or wrapped around it like they do on buses.
His agent seems to forget the Yaya / Kolo song that swept the nation!!! Yeah, he gets no respect...NOT!!!!!

Unfortunately Yaya still thinks he is doing a favour by playing for us. So he constantly needs reminding how important he is to us. In spite of his undoubted qualities, I really don't see him as irreplaceable and there are a number of players who could sign who have similar ability but with lower wages and maintenance.

If we are going to sell him it would make sense to do it now while he's still worth something. So if he wants to go or is asking for more money it is thank you and goodbye from me.

it is to be remembered that yaya has had many pay rises in his time at city and this season he was back to his best but he was shit last season and the team could not carry him. yaya is generally poor in europe but i dont think we have a player scouted or in place to remove him its pay up and look to move on next season

Just been mentioned on breakfast TV, even suzanna reed asked the question " so he's not happy because the club never wished him happy birthday " in a disbelieving tone, am afraid its got to be escalated bullshit as surely he would be laughed at in the football world but on the other hand if for some mad reason yaya has seen his arse for this reason then off load the idiot and move on but can anyone really be this stupid and touchy about a birthday....
