I see the American in you when it comes to Yaya.Sooner he's gone the better. The only exception would be if he takes a huge pay cut and accepts he'll have very limited game time.

I truly believe it is. We need 5 guys getting major minutes in the 3 Central positions. Right now the 5 are Silva, Yaya, Dihno, Debryune and Gundogan. If we intend to improve the midfield, one of those 5 have to go and an improvement brought in.Don't think it has to be Yaya or Tielemanns we have two midfielders on our books who have contributed little this season in Fernando and Delph, neither of whom is either likely to improve a lot or be as good as Yaya , they could happily go and be replaced by anothe midfielder whilst keeping Yaya for his experience and undoubted passing ability.
Not saying we definitely should, it depends partly on his attitude and desire but the choice is not binary between keeping Yaya or getting another midfielder.

Yaya is the oldest and the only one put of Contract. So the problem solved itself. You bring on Tielemans as the 5th guy.
Delph Fernando and Garcia are peripheral midfielders, whether they stay or go doesn't affect the core rotation. Just like whether Kelechi stays or goes doesn't affect the rotation of the front 3.
So yes, a Tielemans/Isco purchase directly affects Yaya in my opinion. I personally would go balls deep to get Tielemans as his replacement.
All of them have looked fucked individually or collectively at various times & in Gundogan's case permanently.
They struggle to keep the pace Pep wants, so no harm in having more quality in addition imo & rotate more for the season. If Yaya isn't happy with that, then of course, he can go. If he is happy, then perfect.
I would also prefer the Belgian to Isco btw but I would go further still & find another backup Fernandinho as well.
Unless you get someone who is good at controlling the pace. Folks make it sound like we didn't start the season 10 and 0 without Yaya. With him not in our side we lose the calm possession football we have less possession and teams get more control like the boro away game where they scored 2 goals in a game for first time in ages. Yaya is a one off once he goes control on games will go.
Personally I feel that Yaya, Dinho & Silva are all getting older and need resting from time to time but can still contribute a lot and are ideally suited to rotation & very experienced, with three other midfielders you have a pretty good set up, particularly if one is inexperienced like Tielemanns. I'd rather have Yaya contributing with his passing game from time to time than Nando & Delph filling the bench and the physio room.I truly believe it is. I suppose that could work too. A 3 of Debryune, Gundo, Tielemans, with Silva, Yaya and Dihno backing them up.Personally I feel that Yaya, Dinho & Silva are all getting older and need resting from time to time but can still contribute a lot and are ideally suited to rotation & very experienced, with three other midfielders you have a pretty good set up, particularly if one is inexperienced like Tielemanns. Yep, though I would probably describe it as DeB, Gundo, Silva & Tielemanns 3 from 4 regularly with the other two as back up.I suppose that could work too. A 3 of Debryune, Gundo, Tielemans, with Silva, Yaya and Dihno backing them up.
