Shame he got complacent after Pellegrini's first season but this last hurrah looks very promising indeed. Guardiola has made him motivated again.

Delighted to admit that he's proving me wrong. I didn't think it worth bringing him back into the fold, and thought he didn't look great against Palace or Burnley. But he looks trimmer and slimmer than ever now, and I thought he was very good in the second half. Suits him when we play so much higher up the pitch and without the huge gap back to the defence.

This new slimline Yaya is great. Putting in a defensive shift when last season he'd just let them walk past him.

I thought we where going to get over run in midfield but we where great.
