Remember 2010/11 Yaya? Remember when he'd run from one box to the other knocking to the ground anyone who dared get in his way? Immediately to be followed by a 5 minute nap in the opposition penalty area? Only to be rinsed and repeated?

The good old days..

2011 FA Cup - All Yaya Toure...

2011/12 PL Title - Yaya, Vinnie and Kun the main men.

2012/13 CS - Yaya, again.

2013/14 Premier League AND League Cup - Yaya the driving force, again.

2015/16 League Cup - Powers were on the wane to be fair, but taking and scoring the pressure penalty is never easy.

He absolutely is a club legend. It was Yaya & Yaya alone who dragged this club upwards. He’s had BY FAR the biggest impact at this club since the black and white days, and it’s not even close.

What absolute and utter bollocks!!!

Football is a team game, it always has been and always will be. You only have to look at the team spirit and togetherness of the current team, there’s no egos and every single player willingly sacrifices themselves for the good of the team.

Look at the difference between Yaya and De Bruyne, both have (or have had in Yayas case) the ability to be the star man in a star studded team. KDB not only provides that ability but runs himself into the ground week in week out. He would be absolutely guaranteed to score more goals and make more assists if he didn’t make the recovery runs or high pressing runs as consistently as he does but he’s a team player first and foremost. Yaya has always done what’s best for Yaya, not for the team.

I’m not for one minute saying Yaya is the only culprit before anyone puts 20p in the usual suspects but he had the potential to be the best in the world (and I do mean the best) but he wasted it. Yes we won a few trophies but that should have been more and would have been more if Yaya had the right attitude. That’s why he’ll never be a legend in some City fans eyes, even if you lie to yourself and blame his agent for the rest of the fucking bullshit.

you need a lie down or sectioning

Aguero's legs have gone, nowhere near as good as Jesus.

And Yaya and Vinnie need to be forced out in Jan.

Fraudiola to follow them both at the end of the season.

Never saw a mid that tall who could the field so well and make himself crucial to attack at almost every point in the box. I will miss him when he's gone.

Mental, absolutely mental!!
Couldn't believe it when I read it. Yes, Yaya was a vital cog in the machine. But to claim that he, and he alone, got us to where we are now is laughable. Joe, Zabba, GazBaz, NDJ, Merlin, Kun, Carlos, Vinnie, Mario, Alex, Joleon etc etc; they ALL played a part in the rise of MCFC post 2008. No one player got us to where we are now on his own.

Hope Yaya stays till the end of the season and gets another premier league winners medal.
He deserves to be in City hall of fame as he was immense for us and at times he was unplayable...such strength and such skill...imagine a 24 year old Yaya in the present team...

been one of the greats alongside merlin serg vinny and tevez and zabba with more legends being groomed for stardom.weve come a long way

Or a 17 yr old yaya...
But we saw a 17 yr old yaya and he was brilliant, alas, we knew a player of that quality would never rock up here.
if carlsberg did football players...

Thought he did ok on Wednesday, kept the ball and and played some nice little passes, and allowed Fernandinho to be subbed without any upset to the team .. He's still my no 1 all time city player .
