He's been an amazing player for us over the years and was instrumental for all our recent success that we have had.

Probably our best "big game" player that we have had.

FA Semi and Final for our first trophy, League cup final, Newcastle away, Everton away...just to name a few!

Of all the bullshit that has surrounded him in recent years, nobody can doubt his commitment on the field.

Madrid away suggests otherwise

Yeah, he needs to get a proper send off. I think a start and a captaincy against Brighton would be appropriate.

^This, at his best it was almost like pressing a cheat mode button.
Play him against Brighton as Captain and sub him in the 42nd minute.

Whilst i don't particularly like him as a person he has been a giant for us,i still have games on my planner that i watch now and then and he was a monster for us,deserves a good send off at one of the home games, hope people remember him in his prime and how he has played a huge part in getting us to where we are today
Says it all perfectly Kaz

He deserves a similar send off to Zabaleta, and the Brighton game would be the obvious choice. One of our all-time greats.
Absolutely agree.. I never thought I’d ever see a better player in sky blue than Colin Bell but we’ve been graced by two immense talents of the modern game in recent years who have surpassed even his greatness.. David Silva and Yaya Toure. Forget the ‘Cakegate’ nonsense, Yaya has been outstanding for us..the pleasure, the privilege has been mine and I tip my hat to him.. we should celebrate his contribution.. City without ‘The Big Man’ will be like Bruce Springsteen without Clarence Clemons..

In that league cup final when we were losing and Yaya took that long range speculative shot, I turned to the bloke next to me and was about to say Oh FFS Yaya, when to my surprise and delight, it sailed in to the top corner. And again for the FA Cup semi final, I was right behind the goal when his shot, which he got away through brute strength, nestled into the net. That for me was the turning point. Always a big game player and one of the greatest City player ever. His skill in tight situations was beautiful, especially for a big unit, and his goals during the 2012 run-in won us the title. During the period 2010 up to about 2 years ago he was my favourite player. I would say a true world class player.
A big send off is required for a big man. We'll miss you Yaya.

Just how integral he was to everything we’ve won is demonstrated by the QPR game. 1 nil up and totally comfortable up until he went off at half time then panic stations.

He's the most over-rated player in City's history but of course he deserves to get a Zaba-like send off, by being captain for the last game. We can always take him off if it's losing us the game and he gets his big ovation.

Fantastic player that has been pivotal for us and contributed as much to our on-field success as anyone. Deserves a great send off and I'm sure he'll get one.

I have a canvas of him scoring that goal against the Rags at wembley.

He was immense for us regardless of his dick of an agent and hope he rightly gets a proper send off and thank you from the club/fans.

Yaya, Yaya, Yaya, Yaya Toure

Correct answer.

And to say I used to read and respect your posts once upon a time .

Bit off topic but please does anybody know of a good spot to go fishing in the South Manchester area, possibly between Withington and Parrs Wood
