Not really. Don't think he was wrong then either. Busquet was a better fit for Barca, even if Yaya was a better player at the time. And he is certainly not wrong now, Yaya is far from the player he was in his prime, and Pep not having to deal with questions about why Yaya is not being selected has been deftly dealt with via Apologygate.

How was he wrong? A midfield of Biscuits, Xavi and Iniesta who were part of the greatest club side to ever exist and didn't have an ounce of ego between them.

win win situation so its not worth being overly sensitive to

Yaya plays (probably coming off the bench to give players a rest at times we can) - he still has a lot of quality even if he cant press. His ball retention is excellent, his long range passing probably the best in the squad and he is still capable of the odd worldy (and lets be honest..his penalty taking is better than anyone else as well!).......

he doesn't play and we aint lost anything......we have been doing fine without him
