I think that the fact that Yaya even bothered to apologize is a great sign - to me, it demonstrates that Yaya really wants to play.
Best case scenario is that Yaya applies himself - gets into really great shape - and starts pressing. I don't think that's going to happen though.
What I think is actually happening - is that Yaya sees that he's not going to start at City given big changes. He's getting more desperate to start. And to me, that means that he'll be much more willing to accept offers from other clubs. Maybe we'll even be able to move him in the Winter window.
I think he never thought he would be cast aside and that he held more power than he did, he needs to play in order to secure a move away from us. The window is around the corner and he is getting twitchy. We all saw last year the decline in his performances, add to that the fact that if he does not play again this season then teams are taking a hell of a risk on him. His whole future as a top flight footballer is on the verge of being fucked.
