Shame it had to end like this, I just hope that when he does leave he doesn't go running his mouth off about how badly he's been treated by city..
Sad for Yaya that he's wasted a year of his career yes.Very sad it has come to this. Unlikely to play for the club again as I can't see him backing down and apologising
If his agent had said anything that Yaya didn't agree with Yaya would have said so. He didn't/hasn't so he agrees with him. The apology should come from BOTH of them ... And the club presented with a 'So Sorry' cake.
Make that summer 2015 or even 2014 and I'm with you. Pretty sure Pep wanted to get rid of him this summer but his stock had got so low relative to his wages that I just don't think we could get rid of him.Should've got rid of him in the summer, surely a bad influence on the squad, hopefully he won't undermine pep's hard work
Presume toure will keep quiet here and just see out contract. Would be suprised if he did anything else. I am pleased with peps decision tho finally showing some balls
Well we were a few stewards down last Wednesday. Maybe he could be on standbyI wonder what happens at training in that case ?
Presumably he will have to train on his own. Can't have him hanging around like a bad smell.
I said at the time I found that story very hard to take seriously as a reason for missing the team photo, it's not like we'd be scraping around for the money to get the photographers in on a different day.Wonder if this has anything to do with his absence from training last week ,official reason migraine issues ?
Or missing the team photo
false analogy. Yaya (until late in the season,) was a key player for Pelegrini, so yes Pele probably would not have done it. But the real comparison would be what would Pelegrini have done to Jovetic if Jovetic's agent had been unruly? That's the correct analogy i.e. a player that couldn't make your CL squad. Couldn't even make the bench for your qualifier squad on the road. Comparing Yaya at the beginning of Pel's reign to Yaya at the beginning of Pe's is a false comparison.I don't think that's factual. Do you think Pellegrini would have done the same if he was still here? I think he'd have asked Yaya for forgiveness and reinstated him immediately into a two man midfield.
To be fair to Yaya, I'm not even sure this is about working hard, I am not convinced that he is able to do what would be necessary physically anymore. He looks fitter and leaner this year than he has done since 2014 but I still don't think he would be anywhere near mobile enough.Just engineering a move and forcing him out for me, it's pretty simple when you have someone picking up £250k a week and they aren't even at a level where you would consider them for the bench.
Yaya was a legend for us and it is a shame but if he isn't going to work hard like the others then he won't ever fit in a Guardiola team.
Sad that he is one of the greatest players the club has ever had and his actions are tarnishing his legacySad for Yaya that he's wasted a year of his career yes.
I don't think the team misses him at all.
