Just had Darren Lewis on ssn and he said that Droba never got player of the month,eto'o never won world player..in fact no African player does well in any awards so to speak except george weir in 95 and lets face it,since then there have been great African players...

I am sorry but I fail to see what this has to do with City. Yaya could not be more respected, loved and appreciated by us fans and the club. To me this is just an excuse, Yaya and his agent are testing the water to see if they can get one last move and if they can't then City will be his second choice. All this talk by Darren Lewis about African footballers not being respected is probably true but this is not the issue regarding Yaya.

I couldn't believe some of the things I read on this thread.

For all we know someone Yaya may have received death threats, his family may have been threatened or something. Some of these agents are associated with notorious gangs and mafias.

He's a down to earth and friendly person, what he's doing is out of character. Let's wait for more information.

Get Liam Neeson and/or Bruce Willis on the job. They'll take care of any bad guys.

That is after Paul Scholes admitted that the football was too fast for him following his comeback. There is a serous lack of respect to what has been achieved over the last four years at our great club. Even four four two had three of our players in the world team of the year whilst we all know how many got in the last players player side.

We'd likely have to change our style of play and have to shift other players around to accommodate the change. It's easy to say if we get 40m for him we could go out and buy someone like Fabregas but it's nowhere near like for like.

On the flip side, if all of this is true and if the club give in to what ever demands he has it is setting a precedent for the other big players in the squad.

I think you'll find Aguero was very close to being the young player of the year in 2011/12 only to be pipped by footballing giant Kyle Walker. I'm sure we can all agree that's fair enough.

I think it's dead right that we expect 100% loyalty from players yet are totally unwilling to give Yaya the benefit of the doubt, at least until some facts come out. Loyalty works both ways and you should always know the facts before running your mouth, pronouncing him dead or pissing in your knickers.
