Re: Yaya Toure
Agree entirely about other teams doing their best to weaken us.
What we need is a genuine clear and concise explanation/statement from Yaya and his agent. We aren't going to get that. But at the moment it just sounds like ramblings of a mad man.
I also genuinely believe he has an issue with the respect the league has shown him- nothing to do with city. Whether he can't get his head around this, I'm not sure. But he has made comments about both the balon d'or and the Premier League awards (and rightly so in that case). After the season he has had, seeing Gerrard get voted higher than him by journalists will have been viewed as a lack of respect and recognition. Nothing to do with City, though.
On Tuesday I wanted some form of word from City. But by keeping our silence we have shown him to be the idiot. The papers have nothing to pick up on from us. At the moment it's all Yaya and his agent, and therefore it's them looking like idiots. I'm torn now. You are right- somehow this needs to be nipped in the bud and ASAP. For the harmony around City, the dressing room, and not least for us internally to plan other options.
We can't just pander to his wishes and look weak. However, there is NO WAY we can sell him to Chelsea, or another Premier League club for that matter.

The only reason I ask is because there are rumours doing the rounds in Spain, and at least one paper out there has written that Barcelona have zero interest in him but that this escapade is because Mourinho is the manager who wants him.
If that turns out to be true then there will be IMO all out war this summer. Part of me is beginning to think that one or two clubs who know we have a transfer limit and are trying to weaken us further.
I know the club don't make statement and I respect that totally. However in this instance I feel that if there is one more outburst from his agent or from the player himself then the club need to address it either publicly or privately to gag them both. Otherwise it will be a long summer.
