Not really arsed that he staying - I wasn't that bothered either way. To be honest I quite fancied us building a team without his defensive limitations being exposed by the very best opponents.

It will be interesting to see where he fits in next year with Fernando. He might not play every game.

I kind of feel the same.
I think that with Yaya in the team (assuming that he is focused) we will be favourites to win the PL again next season
but I think that against the really top teams in the CL he is a liability. Overall keep him for one more season. Concentrate
on retaining the league and then sell him and replace with somebody like Barkley. PL is the priority and given our squad
restrictions I don't think the CL is realistic in 2015. Let's win the CL in 2016 ... without him.

He's made a complete and utter dick of himself this summer but football, like politics, is a career in which you can do that and get away with it.

This and remember the classy " to err is human, to forgive divine"

Pretty much my thoughts too.

He will defo play less next season. Ferna will get his AM role at times especially if we play 2 upfront.

I'll give it a month or two into the new season and all the slaters of Yaya on this forum will be claiming he is the best thing since sliced bread

I don't think there's a blue on the planet who questions his onfield ability

It's just this clusterfuck of a summer on the back of a double winning season that most are seeing their arse about

It's like telling the wife your leaving her only to find out your mistress doesn't want you either so you come crawling back to the wife.

Hope City make him squirm, superb player, big game performer, scores vital goals, brilliant passer and huge physical presence in the middle of the park and a complete tosser who's totally disconnected from reality.

Glad to have him in our team but not so happy about him at the club.
You could have written this for me - exactly my sentiments.

We'll get another season out of him, which is useful while we bed in his replacement.

I'm happy Yaya is staying.

But this whole ordeal has made him look like a right idiot and he has lost some of that hero status in which I used to idolise him in. The whole thing was so stupid and only the club have come out of this looking good.

The best thing is that the club will be even more prepared next season and Fernando would have had 1 season under his belt so it won't be as high risk to see him leave.

He will always remain in our history books and a huge part of where we are today. But no one is bigger then the club and hopefully he doesn't pull this shit again.

You could have written this for me as well.

I'm planning to get another season out of the wife while I bed in the replacement mistress.

On the negative side Ya Ya has just fitted the stereotype of a footballer....not very bright and badly advised by a money driven agent. On the plus side we have retained the services of the best all round midfield player probably in the world and the best i have seen at City since Colin Bell.

Now if we sign a couple of our targets and keep the players that spent most of last season on the treatment table fit,we will take some stopping.

Wind your fucking neck in you antagonistic idiot.
If people wanted to be pissed of they had every fucking right so shut the fuck up with your barbed shitty comments.

You sound really upset......don't worry most fans are delighted if he really is staying. Also, people are entitled to be pissed off at your attitude of having a divine right to be the sole arbiter of City opinion and then slag others off just as oyu ahve so elequently done here. If you and others can't put this to bed now then you are the ones direspecting the club. Unless there is a sudden change of mind by the player/agent the storm in a tea cup is over.

A far more pertinent and intersting subject though is what is City's future planning regading replacing YaYa. Depending on his role and number of games he has to play he might have up to 2 seasons at his best so the issue of replacing him needs to be managed properly and hope the club can do this. It may well need a slightly different way of playing given there is barely any other player like him currently playing. Barkely running at defences is exciting but he does not in my view have the ability to control a game like Ya Ya does but at the moment he would be my pick with a bit of tweaking around him.

Upset? not at all, pissed of with those who aim barbed pissy comments at others for having a differing opinion? yes.
You talk a lot but say nothing.

Your post also highlights the fact you hear what you want to and nothing more. I and others have said numerous occasions we are pretty indifferent to him staying, look the word up some time.

Hit dogs holler... As you were one who hopefully saw news of him "departing post haste"

This is also coming from someone who wrote
"So if the fool is gonna spout off and people want to call him then he is fair game"

It's cool for you to call Yaya out but not cool for someone to call out those who make the type of comments I originally stated. Plus this isn't the first time you've come at me to talk shit on this thread. How salty are you really now that he's staying for the foreseeable future?

The least surprising news of the summer so far.

What a load of shite this all was from the very beginning. Can't believe that some actually believed there was ever really anything in it.

Happy Birthday Yaya, Happy Birthday Yaya, Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Yaya, Happy Birthday Yaya, Happy Birthday!

"Holler", "come at me", "salty"?

Do you think you're in some kind of early 90s Wesley Snipes film?

It just makes me shrug because clubs use players and players use clubs, and in the end it's always a contract negotiation based on a limited shelf life. The club will be fine. The player will be fine and if expressing great amounts of vitriol help fans cope with that, that's fine too.
