Hell of a lot of revisionism going on here.

The guy is a c**t. Was looking for a move. Was out manouvered by City and had to change his stance.

Great footballer. Bell end of an individual.

I'll still cheer when he scores though.

Same as, just as I would anyone in the shirt. Doubt I'll be singing his name again though.......

Sure you will. "Happy Birthday to Yaya" will become a classic.

Perhaps next time we can wait for a player to actually leave before calling him despicable names.

Not been on here for a while and not been keeping up to speed with all things city! Who did Yaya sign for in the end? Was it Barcelona or psg?

Tevez was all but forgiven pretty quickly for much worse. Football supporters are fickle, normal service will resume.

The media has had their fun with Toure and have pulled many right, left and center but it was always going to come down to a substance: Is he staying or not staying. I always thought he was going to stay and all those that dissed him non stop will have no choice but to cheer him once he starts destroying opponents with no mercy.

If he is indeed staying it is great news.

I'm sure some people are in denial.

I'm in denial about bring in denial.....

He's a fantastic player, will be delighted if he has the same season as he did last season. Will be a hard act to follow.

Think we will be lucky to get more than one more, so if we do get offers we should listen!

Not really arsed that he staying - I wasn't that bothered either way. To be honest I quite fancied us building a team without his defensive limitations being exposed by the very best opponents.

It will be interesting to see where he fits in next year with Fernando. He might not play every game.

Pretty much my thoughts too.

He will defo play less next season. Ferna will get his AM role at times especially if we play 2 upfront.

Sums it up for me, too

i don't even know anymore how i feel about him. right now i'm still pissed at the **** no end, but i guess i'll be cheering for him like mad when he scores his first of the season. tough job being a fan.

If this was a one off, then fair enough, but we seem to have a drama with this mardarse every year, over something or nothing.

I think City will get the best they can out of him this season then move him on next July.

That may suit both parties.

Good news if he really is committed. I'm sure we will see soon enough. Without him though we would not have a chance of winning the league in my opinion so I'm glad. We now have a year to plan for his successor as I'm sure some deal will have been cut for this statement to come out.

I personally don't give a shit what our players say or do as long as they put in consistently good performances on the pitch. I have no gripe with Tevez and won't with Yaya when he goes eventually. Both have been instrumental in us winning silverware and without both we might not have done as well as we have.
