Once this affair has concluded this thread should be edited, formatted, and published for future blue generations.
It'll have to be in volumes!

Or shared experience chunks.

Chunk 1: Is he his agent, though?

Chunk 2: Yaya has rubbished his statement.

Chunk 3: Who is in control of Yaya Twitter account?

Chunk 4: Whyyyyyyyyyy, god, whyyyyyyy?

Chunk 5: We owe everything to him!

Chunk 6: That Bastard!

Chunk 7: I will cut you for expressing an opinion on a forum!

Chunk 8: How easy is it to wind up posters?

Chunk 9: A guy in charge of the video cables confirms Yaya is leaving.

It is truly an epic.

Who is this chunk you speak of?

Re: Yaya Toure

I don't think City make much of any of this... not until his statement comes out at least. I can't see the club caving in to his demands either, we're not the club we were a few years ago where the team evolves around one player.

There's now a core of some sort. Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Silva, Aguero etc.

Tevez managed to hold us to ransom due to the fact that without him, we would probably struggle to make the top four. Yaya is a great player no doubt, but he can easily be used as leverage by the club to bring in another great midfielder. You can more or less select any midfielder out there that you like if he's in part of a deal. United are in the same situation with Rooney that we were in a few years back with Tevez, if Rooney is off... they're fucked.

I don't think Yaya or his agent have thought this through at all. Would you try hold Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern for ransom? They would just send you on your way and bring in a player that suits the system just as well. We may not be part of the elite just yet... but we're knocking on the door and are in a far better position than we were in just two/three years ago. Only players in the world like Messi or Ronaldo can probably pull such a move over the biggest clubs. Yaya isn't in that bracket.
