Seen quoted 70 mill really ?

It won't get that high no chance ... but I can certainly see it being upwards of 35 million pounds ... which is insane money for a 31 year old.

PSG are sticking two fingers up at UEFA, plus they want all the best, most coveted players in the game right now. I think we could do better than 35m considering the impact and importance of him to our title win and cup win. I think they would need to forget logic regarding his age and consider his value to our team

Yaya's ego would ensure we get more than £35m for him. He's already comparing himself to Messi and Ronaldo.

Oh i agree ... I'm sure that if Paris are the club who move for Yaya then City will have them over a barrel. Whatever the eventual price I'm sure it'll be more than enough for us to sign a more than adequate replacement.

Re: Yaya Toure

just to put things into perspective. SSN had a graphic last week showing Yaya's stats.
It showed his goals per game, pass % etc.
The last stat was city's win % with/without him.
With him we won 70%, Without him we won ........73%.
Take the money

Has he really though?
Has Cakegate really meant that you are less happy than you would have been otherwise with our double?
It hasn't taken the gloss off for me - we are Premiership champions, as I remind my rag mates on a daily basis - this is merely a bizarre footnote which encapsulates perfectly the tragedy, farce and triumph that is supporting Manchester City.
just didn't need a kick in the balls so soon after our triumph thats all

Don't get me wrong mate, this is clearly something we could have done without, but we never do things the easy way at City, and this is just the rollercoaster taking a dip, before it rockets skywards again.
Let's look at this pragmatically, leaving out the hysteria factor.
Yaya stays, we win more silverware, everyone's happy.
Yaya leaves, we replace him, we win more silverware, everyone's happy.
We've seen far worse crises than this at the club, and we're still here.
Good job Bluemoon wasn't around in 1979 isn't it Fetlocks, imagine what it would have been like over Gary Owen getting binned to WBA, i know a blue who never went for 5 years after that he was that disgusted!

Agree, ultimately it has to suit us and benefit us as we would be losing a very important player.

I think we've lost the right to criticise RAWK and the Caf after this thread's effort...
You haven't seen the RAWK reaction to that brand report or the Ragcaf transfer forum then?

Each to their own I suppose mate - I know one lifelong season ticket holder who said we sold our soul when we moved from Maine Road, and he vowed never to set foot in the Etihad - a vow which, to his credit or detriment, he has kept to this day.
The 1937/38 season where we were relegated as champions, despite scoring the most goals in the league, would have probably cause the forum to implode, had it been around 70 odd years ago.
We'll get over this hiccup, no matter how it resolves itself, because we always do.
