Don't think it's anywhere near the low standards of RAWK and the caf

PSG are sticking two fingers up at UEFA, plus they want all the best, most coveted players in the game right now. I think we could do better than 35m considering the impact and importance of him to our title win and cup win. I think they would need to forget logic regarding his age and consider his value to our team

Oh i agree ... I'm sure that if Paris are the club who move for Yaya then City will have them over a barrel. Whatever the eventual price I'm sure it'll be more than enough for us to sign a more than adequate replacement.

Agree, ultimately it has to suit us and benefit us as we would be losing a very important player.

I genuinely don't believe that City's motivation will be money. If they don't want to sell Yaya then even a bid of 50 million will get rejected. The real question is what do Txiki and co want to do. If they want rid of Yaya then they'll get the best fee they can and simply move on.

You haven't seen the RAWK reaction to that brand report or the Ragcaf transfer forum then?

Yeah I haven't, but i read a fair bit of this thread and it doesn't really paint many on here in a good light.

I thought we're all (in the main) adults here?

Some of the responses and anger here are unwarranted.

Re: Yaya Toure

Not returning calls. I think he has gone.

Don't believe we would hear anything definitive now until after the World Cup.

We would not want to telegraph our attempts to bring in a replacement with money burning a hole in our pocket.

Toure and his camp have been a disgrace in all this.

The ultimate decision is now with Txiki, not Khaldoon.

So given that Yaya and his agent's bahaviour has been absolutely huge news, has made headlines right across the world for basically taking the piss out of the club and the owner what reaction would you have expected from supporters generally? And which clubs' forums do you think would have been different and what do you think their reactions would have been?

If he's gone awol/into hiding with respect to our club's attempts to reach him to talk about this - then i can only agree with you. He's gone. As I said yesterday, Pellegrini and Txiki both have history for removing "big" players who they see as a problem. Pellers did it with Riquelme ... Txiki with Eto'o, Deco, Ronaldinho.

Yaya and his camp can fucking do one.

If a player wants to leave, then it's best just to do the deal and move him on. They are no different to us in that they have the right to decide to leave their current job for pastures new, they're not slaves. Good luck to Yaya and thanks for everything.

Is he gearing up for the "It's not you it's me" line? Although, with Yaya, it'll certainly be the other way around.
