What's the price Billy ? If you can divulge of course

North of 40 million pounds. We're looking at the same money Paris have paid for David Luiz as a minimum.

Personally I think that prices Toure out of a move this summer ... but you just never know.

I'd take 40 million quid for Toure all day long. Not without having a decent replacement lined up, and lets not kid ourselves the man to replace Toure has to be decent, but that would be great business for a 31 year old. I imagine with the temper tantrums, Soriano will also remember Ronaldinho, and the point they really should have sold him but chose not to, only to sell him a poor season later for a fraction of the price.

Putting all this nonsense aside from the last week or so, while Yaya has undoubtedly been one of better performers, and 20+ goals from midfield - and a lot of them classics - is literally awesome (over used word nowadays), there were a few times when he didn't seem interested, so he doesn't get the Player of the Season for me. That accolade goes to David Silva IMO because he always shows up and makes us tick at least as much as Yaya, often playing the penultimate pass in the lead up to a goal or chance as well as the assists and that for me gives it to Merlin. Yaya only runner up for me.

Personally I think it's fair enough if he's not getting the recognition of a POTS award after what's happened.
Why? The season's over

For what it's worth, all this cake/PSG/Barca nonsense that has tripped out of Yaya's/Seluk's mouth is NOTHING to do with my thioughts on the season.
Yaya is a City Legend, whatever happens now. People don't have to like him or what he said, but remember,
*He scored the winning goal in the FA Cup Final
*Helped us into the Champions League
*Was a major influence in our 1st title for 44 years (remember Newcastle etc)
*Turned the league Cup final round with yet abother great goal
*Was a huge influence in winning the title this season (eg 2-0 win at Palace)

That's how I prefer to view Yaya, but he wouldn't be my player of the season for the reasons stated above. Those games when he could have done more are the difference. I don't think there is one game where Silva gave anything less than his best, despite the regular kicking. He just got up and got on with it and was just as much an influence if not more so, but in a different way.

It's about the season, which is over. At least Yaya has waited until then for him and Seluik to spout off, but I'm loath to give him too much credit for that. Each to their own IMO but Yaya's spoiled brat behaviour should not have a bearing on how we view he has played.

You carry on making stuff up from your Parisian garret Billy, as it keeps us all amused in the absence of any real news.
Some folk may even take you seriously, although most are merely humouring you by now.
The only way to deal with this sorry saga is through humour, given that we know slightly less than fuck all.
It's just a pity it's not really a medium that you show any great prowess in.

The point is ... why don't you stick to threads you're actually interested in. You have said repeatedly that you're done with this thread, yet every day I find you here posting different versions of the same thing (much like everyone else), whilst trying to hold yourself up as something different.

Honestly you strike me as quite a tragic figure. Someone said to me recently your bitterness was a result of being a cuckold. I thought that was harsh at the time but I'm beginning to think they might have a point.

Sadly Mrs Fetlocks is all very much present and correct, albeit thankfully out shopping, but thanks for the concern.
I trust things are ok with you on the domestic front, only I haven't seen Dismal on here for a while.
The point here Billy, and one that sadly eludes you, is that there is nothing whatsoever happening here, so in the absence of anything tangible, some of us have a bit of a laugh to pass the time.
You should try it now and again - it's good for the soul.
And it beats the hell out of plucking imaginary transfer figures out of the air and pretending to be itk to impress naive female posters.
Now I'm off to watch Bargain Hunt as Len advised.

If the money reaches those levels City will sell.

The only thing we don't know right now is what Toure himself is going to do after the world cup. Him and his agent are more than capable of properly throwing their toys out of the pram.

We are upstairs. The Cellar's a bit dull as usual.

Cake

Fuck that.

Some fella has split up with his mrs and De Niro has told him pics or fuck off.

Yes and Fetlocks thinks the fantasists reside upstairs.

I have a mate of a mate of a mate who's wife cleans for the next door neighbour of this dodgy geezer who knows a fella in Milan and reckons they are buying Yaya for half a shekel, three bags of smack and a go on Gail Platt.

Does he work for the MEN ? :)

Re: Yaya Toure

This s a disaster waiting to happen.

Toure is one of the key cogs in our team, anyone is replaceable but we don't want this dragging on until way after the world cup.

If he wants to go then we need to make swift decisions and be looking at quality replacements now. he replacemnet needs to be at least pushing similar quality and there aren't players out there that are easily got.

Last thing we need is this dragging on until August and our hand is forced into letting him go with little time to deal withthe situation, plus clubs knowing the score and ripping us off.

MEN reporting this morning that we have no interest in selling him.

I know more than the MEN do about what's going on ... City have named a price for Yaya. Lets see if anyone comes to the party.

What region is the price?
