A world class player and a second class person!

I'm SO disappointed in him seems he doesn't think about the fans or dare I say it his brother because if that was my brother I'd be at his side as much as possible and city wouldn't of minded one bit...

Further to this I wouldn't of gone to the World Cup either if it was someone so close

Yep and that says everything about yaya the Person

Re: Yaya Toure

Firstly, I don't believe for a second that City wouldn't let a player take some time for compassionate reasons.

Secondly, what kind of shit brother are you Yaya? If I asked my employer to take some time off to be with my dying brother and they said no, I'd just go anyway. I wouldn't let them stop me.

"Yeah sorry bro, would come and see you, with you dying and all, but the boss won't have it. Hands are tied, sorry".... As if.

TBH if he's telling the truth (which I find unbelievable), then he should go because relations are irreparable.

And if he's exploiting his dead brother, then maybe he should go anyway. Some things can't be unsaid.

I refuse to entertain even the thought that City would do something like this. Yaya is a liar. Its purely a snide way of getting his move to PSG.
Even the most rabid anti-city journos don't believe that City would do this.

Agreed... that isn't just a downgrade, that's crazy. I'd like Barkley here but under a "prospect for the future" scenario, not to replace the best midfielder in the Premier League.

If we sold Yaya, we'd surely have to go high-end and maybe even also use the Negredo money (if he's sold). Depending on what characteristics we want in a new midfielder - Kroos, Pogba, Vidal - one of these might begin to fill the void left by the heartbeat of our team. Pogba would also be a "prospect for the future" but has shown he is already quite accomplished at a very high level.

Yaya is a twat but people underestimate how hard it'd be to replace him. Fernando isn't a Yaya replacement and is brought with another task in mind (Garcia's role), and Fernandinho is excellent but not the pass master Yaya is.

That's the problem, Yaya scores goals, is a very good passer and can be very direct. There is no like for like replacement but I think if he leaves Italy might be the place to find a replacement, Juve have Vidal and Pogba, either of which might be an option as I understand they still owe us money for Tevez but Pogba has Raiola as an agent and Vidal is Juve's best player. Kroos may be available but Bayern always get top dollar for their players. Apart from those it's very hard to think of someone good enough to get into our side that's:
a. affordable given this BS transfer restriction.
b. can do at least partly fill Yaya's shoes.

Yaya prior to last season was never really a goal scorer. I think he'd only ever previously got into double figures once in his entire career and that was our title winning season. His passing is second to none, but it's not as difficult to replace as people are making out. There was a similar feeling when it was mooted that Tevez would leave (we can't replace him etc) however the truth is a long way from being that Toure is irreplaceable. Koke and Vidal are the two most obvious candidates IMO.
This

There'll never be another Yaya, but that doesn't mean he's irreplaceable. I mean it wasn't so long ago that we were saying the same thing when Shaun goater retired and we've managed to survive........

Same here. I absolutely refuse to believe it, but don't want to call him a liar without knowing for sure.

What are we supposed to do with a guy who wants away so badly he'd exploit his dead brother? Surely if he'll go that far, intentionally playing poorly on the pitch isn't far-fetched.

Seems there's one or two supporters still begging us to give him the benefit of the doubt!

Re: Yaya Toure

I quite simply refuse to believe that the club have done what he is insinuating.

This isn't a matter that would have been dealt with by the work experience lads, Txiki and Khaldoon behind the scenes will handle any situation like this surely?!

What I can't believe is that Yaya is letting this all unfold, if he want's to leave. Say it. Why do things like the birthday cake and other nonsense that is being proved to be wrong almost immediately after it comes down the grape vine into the media.

Simply staggering that Yaya is letting this happen.

No way back for me, the whole Tevez and Mancini situation was different to this. This is an attack on the club's morals and integrity seemingly every week to try and leave.
If he stays I will refuse to sing his name, he can do whatever he likes on the pitch.

So you refuse to believe what he has said City have done to him but in the next breath say you will not call him a liar. What is he then or are you hedging your bets? Is that because the idea of him leaving hurts that much?

I gone past caring if really honest about him and I hope City carry on doing what they do best with this kind of person. By keeping quiet we are showing some dignity, class and respect in this issue, especially now.

Re: Yaya Toure

what a shit rollercoaster.

now try explaining how your own father thinks there's no reason to quarrel with City, on which he was quoted, if the club did really do such a great deal of disrespect to your family, you fucking arseberry.

i will ask you Mancunians for a favour. please run this shit clown out of town covered in swill and garbage if he ever sets his foot in the city again.
