I wish we could, unfortunately Yaya has said that he agrees with his agent, if it was just his agent and Yaya had said the opposite, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

More like a complete waste of time than anything else. The agent wanted to stir things up and get "something /anything" Yaya related talked about and in the press/media. City fans have given him exactly what he was after in the usual overreacting way and the press are just laughing all the time and writing new stories.

Hopefully we can have a few weeks rest from this caper.

I bloody hope so Rammy, it's starting to do my head in. Whilst Yaya has been a bit of a dick, and his agent a complete wanker, he is a far better man and player than Suarez, who said a lot worse about liverpool and was vehement about leaving, and look what value they got out of the fucker this season by letting the club and the player sort things out. I would assume the club take stuff like this with a very large pinch of salt and will have had a word with Yaya in the background, and will move on, whereas BlueMoon explodes in a sense of righteous indignation. Time to move on I think, let it blow over, and let the club do what it thinks is right (which hopefully is to remind Yaya, quietly and in private, of his responsibilities)

I concur

meanwhile the club and everyone else has to wait for his 'statement'

so what? big deal? bothered? Yaya is slightly high maintenance and comes out with some shit, he employs a daft fucker of an agent (but it's his best mate so he aint goint to dump him), but he is a brilliant and beautiful footballer, I can live with it - after the world cup this will probably be forgotten, but if not, and he comes out with some more obtuse shit then so what, he will still be a brilliant and beuatiful fottballer, and more importantly our brilliant and beautiful footballer. As I keep telling my 5 and 8 year olds "sticks and stones"

the point has been made on this thread a couple of times that it is quite likely his agent has full access to his twitter account

well how will the club know what he wants?
and you know for sure they haven't spoken to him?

well if they have why on earth does he have to release a statement?
i don't pretend to know, perhaps he wants to say something

but, unlike you and a fair few others, i don't deal in absolutes when i don't have all the facts to hand

Not everyone is a Yaya or Rooney. There are players like Silva Iniesta Kompany who seem pretty down to Earth for millionaire footballers.
I agree, but some of them are bound to be unbearable. It must be very difficult with that amount of wealth, power and adulation to remain grounded. I'm just surprised that people seem so surprised that a professional footballer can behave in this way. It's not like he hasn't got form.
I suppose I'm not surprised. For every Vincent or Silva there is a Rooney or Yaya, it's bound to happen isn't it? Especially with the agents these guys have.

The same Vincent that seems to have held us hostage in order to get Mancini fired?*

I'd be surprised if the club didn't know what this was about. And probably knew it before the agent went to the press.

I've a suspicion the club have quietly 'handled' the situation behind the scenes and that's why 99.9% of the public only know about the cake (or lack of).

and if true - I think you may find he was not acting alone but on behalf of a large group of players .... Very different to a selfish, self-centered, prima donna like Yaya

Re: Yaya Toure

The bottom line is this issue should never have raised its head. We are champions, we pay our players well and give them an opportunity to win the games biggest medals. What's not to like as a footballer?

This player is a ****. End of.

He's not the first, but the rest that did it are also cunts. Lucky cunts to be paid so much and yet act that way, they aren't living in the real world though so who knows how it messes with their minds.
