Re: Yaya Toure

Yaya could have ended this saga weeks ago if he wanted to.

I'm presuming he doesnt want to.

indeed . I'm certain it will get messy in the days to come.

Re: Yaya Toure

Getting more and more afraid that he'll end up leaving City this summer.

I expect there will be a big kiss and make up in a couple of weeks

Re: Yaya Toure

He's been a top player for us but it hasn't ended well with him, that's clear. However I don't think that you can really hold him to anything he says now at the moment.

His brother died, and he's angry, and sad.. deaths a funny thing, there's no easy way to deal with it..and cancer is unforgiving, he clearly passed unexpectedly and they just ran out of time.

He's angry he didn't get more time and he's looking to blame everyone and anyone, eventually, hopefully he'll just accept it and move on, but it's very unfair to hold him to anything he says at the moment.

How about 'Birthday Cakegate' - do we hold him to that? The death of his brother is tragic, but he only seems to be lashing out at us. More to the point he is making claims which the club are nonplussed about. If he was so desperate to be with his dying brother, why did he go to the World Cup? If it was me, no event, no matter how big, would have kept me away from his bedside. He wants away, which is fine, I just wish that he'd be a man about it rather than being a back stabbing slanderous shithouse.

^^You can't avoid this logic and why many can't give him the benefit of any percieved doubt.

Re: Yaya Toure

I'm not exposed to all the media bullshit over here that you are getting rammed down your throats.
I have only read about cakegate on here, and now I'm reading about this new stuff on here. I don't get all bent out of shape about stuff that I don't see first hand (Tevez) but, It seems as if the bloke is one massive fucking pussy.
Memories of Adebeyor come flooding back.

When cakegate happened, how many on here knew his brother was dying in Manchester ? I'll wager not many, so its entirely plausible that the original "lack of respect from City" stemmed from him being an emotional mess about his brother, and not the lack of cake, hence his I'll tell my story after the world cup.

However I'm not defending him, too much has been said by agent and player, and it could have been stopped by either, I also think he's had his head turned by someone around Qatar, either PSG, or Barca, but I'm still willing to wait and see how its all dealt with by the club, I think they'll do the right thing.

For me, from a business point of view, there may never be a better time to sell him, its doubtful he'll ever have a better season for us, and due to his contract, and the season he's just had, his value now is as high as it ever well be, and we are in the box seat given the length of time left on his contract, so from a completely practical point of view I think we should sell if we can, at the best price, and I trust the club will do the right thing.

Re: Yaya Toure

Really torn. He's my favourite player. He's insulting my club. I'm really grateful for all he's done for the team. I'm really angry I won't remember him as a legend. If he stays we will have an awesome team next season. I'm sick of his whining. I feel sorry for him because of his brother. I don't understand his behaviour.

Arghhhhh.....

Truth is I think I want everyone to make friends and for this to blow over but he keeps making it difficult. The sooner we have a meeting and sort this out one way or another the better.

At the moment all we need is a reserve keeper and a centre half (don't we always) but it will take a lot of thought to replace Yaya and if he does go we need to get on with it.

Oh and PSG can fuck off.

I said it didn't end well, clearly, regardless about what happened with that cake incident, and you don't know if one effected the other.
I still stand by the fact that he shouldn't be held to anything he says at the moment.

They clearly, by the sounds of it, didn't expect him to pass. Both himself and Kolo went, and it was clearly a big shock that he had died.

One of the overwhelming feelings after someone close to you dies is anger. You look for someone to blame. I know someone who moved to Australia and sadly when he was there his father died from a heart attack and for the longest time he was so so angry at Australia for robbing him of time with his dad, logically it makes no sense, but grief takes over, you're angry at everything and everyone that stole time from you that could have been spent with the person who died, and when all that fails you then look to blame yourself, and eventually you'll stumble through it and reach the part where you accept it.
It's a lot easier to lash out and blame others than accept the fact that life is exceptionally cruel.

His brother would never allow him to be by his bedside instead if the World Cup, so that was never going to happen. If I was dying it would break me to see those I loved dreams crushed by my illness. So that logic ignores the wishes of the brother

Yeah i can understand that i suppose.

I still find his actions at odds with my personal ideals i have for man city players no matter what angle i look at it from.

Cobwebcat has it right imo barring him being my fav player which rotates between zabba, dave, kompany and a couple of others.

Its a new day, has anyone called him a **** yet ? The ****.
There's 'rude cunts', there's 'fucking small-time cunts' and then there's just plain, old fashioned 'cunts'.

I think I may qualify under all three.
