Brilliant post. I love the way fans seem to think players are all dewy eyed about the club. As you say, some of them probably slag it rotten, some probably can’t believe what we pay them and some simply won’t give a flying fuck about the place.So fucking what?
There’s probably loads of current and ex-players who are bell ends who do / say ****ish things. That’s humans for you. We might not always get to know / hear about it.
Get over it and get over your precious, moralistic high horse self.
The man was a colossus who took us to places we could only ever wet dream about. He delivered like a fucking boss. He started the modern ball rolling.

The truth for most Blues is probably somewhere in the middle. I think most of us are realistic to know that most players are here to do a job, get paid, and hopefully be successful...and the idea they should all fall in love with a club is romantic and misguided.
However, irrespective of his undoubted achievements, Yaya will never be held in rhebsame regard as Aguero, Silva or Save because of the things he has said about the club and management. It does leave a bit of a sour taste for many.
Players don't need to 'love the club' overtly like Kompany and Zaba to be legends. Silva and Sergio pretty much turn up, play like gods, then go home - but they will still be held in the highest regard because they haven't come out with negative stuff to sully their reputation.
Yaya is entitled to his viewpoints of course, but for many (including myself) it means having a slightly nuanced view of one the cornerstones of our recent success.

As people have stated above some people still love Yaya & some don't see him how they used to but the fact is both views are correct. He was an absolute machine for this club & we would have won nothing without him but he was also a massive moaner. I will never forget what he did for our club and I thank him for staying as long as he did, but I can't lie about being delighted the Yaya Toure circus has drawn to an end.

He’s a **** who got paid very well and for a period of his time at the club performed very well. The end.

Exactly. Some on here value a player being a really lovely person over one who delivers the goods.
We could have a squad of the biggest ****s on the planet. If they keep delivering I couldn’t give fuck.
