Ferguson, to my knowledge, has not ruled out any incoming transfers.

Yeah, he's not so much a reject as not getting the playing time he wants. They still play him but have a wealth of top class talent, so he doesn't start every game.

Seems like he's less a reject and more a cash cow for Cesc.

Agree. I think he's very effective for Barca, but I liken him to a young Vieira and that doesn't really suit their style of play. It's not so much that he isn't their best midfelder, but that some of his strengths don't suit Barca's game.

That must be why Paul Scholes has just signed a year's extension to his contract.

Interesting. Good player. Mourinho picked up a bargain in Schneider taking advantage of the upheaval last Summer. If Mourinho makes some changes then the same thing could happen again
