Yaya Toure over Dzeko and Balotelli.

It may sound stupid,. but in Aguero's absence or if it happens again this season to Tevez and so on with a striker injured etc..

I'd prefer to play with one striker, with Yaya advanced. With NDJ/Milner/Rodwell being the 2 holding men.

Yesterday i was disappointed with Yaya playing so deep, would of preferred Rodwell and NDJ to start in the middle, with Yaya forward.

It's not that i don't rate either Dzeko or Balotelli, i just don't trust Balotelli and Dzeko it just doesn't seem to be working out.

----------Rodwell-----De Jong

-----------------Yaya

--------Nasri-------------Silva

-----------------Tevez

I wanna see that now, when we lose a striker, or depending on who we play. one holding and a winger, like Sinclair. I think we could of beat Liverpool yesterday in the first half if Yaya was further forward, picking up the ball on the halfway line does us no good. Yaya will do more than Balotelli or Dzeko, given he plays advanced.

I posted a similar line up in a thread yesterday. I think this formation would have won us the midfield battle easily, so I wouldnt have to read all this 'Liverpool were amazing!' bollocks that I am reading today.

They played well because we allowed them to play well. I like this for tougher away games (like at Anfield), the 352 is nice at home when teams are parking the bus, but didnt like it yesterday at all.

After Silva's terrible performance he did not deserve to start. You cannot show a player, that no matter how badly he plays he is guaranteed to start.

People here are way too critical of Balotelli and Dzeko. Balotelli is a kid with world class potential. He is growing up. Footalling wise he has a great touch, good shot, decent in the air and has fantastic movement. He needs to constantly play at a higher tempo though.

Dzeko is a decent all round striker. Despite not being very dominating in the air he is a good headerer of the ball. Good, good movement, can hold the ball up well and is always good for a goal.

I cannot think of any team in the world with 3rd and 4th strikers as good as yours. They are not the problem and should be used more often.

It will be nice to see Mancini using all the 3 forwards ( Carlos, Mario & Edin)

4-1-3-2

We would get battered in every game using that.

Not against QPR I think, and this is how Barcelona played when Yaya was there.

Yes they would you cant play with what is effectively 5 forwards, it would be suicide.

Barcelona are masters of keeping the ball, you would have to alter your whole team to play in such a way. Even with that formation they played Yaya as an out and out defensive midfielder. That would be a waste of his talent. Xavi is a world class central midfielder. Nasri has yet to show he can play consistently as an out and out midfielder. Iniesta too can play deeper than Silva tends to. The formation would be suicide for you and would give you no width.

There is way too much over-analyzing on this forum. Some of you guys have unrealistic expectations of the players and are way too "knee jerk". If you didn't see the way that Dzeko opened up the game with his presence against Liverpool, then you don't know football.

Sure he looks awkward sometimes but he's very effective. He should've scored but it wasn't an easy angle. Same goes for Balotelli.

Give it a break FFS!

Why are you repeating yourself, we heard you for the first time....

Finally Dzeko decided to chase the defender which made Skrtel commit the error. It would be nice to see him do that every time he plays, not every 10th game or so..
