Yaya Toure Retires - City Legend and one of the Best ever

Quite simply our greatest - and most important - ever player. Thanks for all the great memories Yaya - you were the catalyst on the pitch that turned our club into winners!

On his A game he was the best.
In the big games he was the best.
Vinnie and Sergio are the only one that come close to him in the games that mattered.
Rags and Stoke Wembley.
Newcastle.
Sunderland Wembley.
Aston Villa at Etihad.
Palace away.
QPR would have been a lot easier if he didn't have to go off injured as well.
Bossed that game half fit for the time he was on as well.
Time we started singing his songs again.

Thanks for the memories Yaya...and the trophies.

I’d prefer to remember the good times (of which there were many) than the bad, which were mainly orchestrated by his toe rag of an agent.

An absolute legend on the pitch. One of the most important figures in the history of the club.
Sadly I can never remember Yaya coming out and refuting anything HIS agent said, as far as I'm concerned he might as well as spoken the words himself. Absolute beast in his prime on pitch but an absolute cock womble off it.

Fair, but I’m sure we’ve all got the odd gobshite for mates / family members.

Seluk made Yaya a millionaire and Yaya named his son after him, they’re clearly very close.

Yaya is not without blame, absolutely not. But from what I’ve seen, it seems like Seluk was the driver of the ****ishness and Yaya was more of passenger.

He’s still a grown man and should be responsible for his own actions, but some people are easily led I guess.

it was yaya, and not his agent, who accused pep of racism with no proof, and said he wanted to play for one of our rivals and end the 'pep myth'. just weeks after the club gave him a great send off.

he's an utter **** of a man
