His attitude has improved since the last strop he and his manager had and IF we offer him a year on year rolling contract I'm all for it.

I said at the beginning of the season that if he wanted to, he could still be a very influential player for us. He has been consistently good since his return and there is no better player in the premier league at linking defence and attack. I would be delighted if he wanted to stay on a one year rolling contract. It's all very well talking about bringing youngsters through but they need to do that on merit.

Yaya Touré has received NO new contract offer from Manchester City and could play his last home game at the Etihad next Tuesday. [Mirror]

Sources close to Touré have confirmed there has been no offer made or even talks, despite his deal running down. [Mirror]
He has been offered. It's not as good as he's currently on though so he won't say "yes" till he's certain he won't get better.
The only paper that reported it was the Sun and I won't post the link but I will post the Google extract:
The Sun said:
YAYA TOURE faces at least a 50 per cent pay cut if he wants to stay at Manchester City next season. ... But he will need to take a huge reduction in wages if he is to remain at the Etihad. He currently earns £230,000 a week at City, but the club are only willing to offer up £100,000 basic ...
One can conclude anything extra is based on fitness, performance and attitude.

Much as though I'd like him to stay I think he will be at Newcastle next season - along with Fernando and possibly Mangella.

Surely Yaya the incomparable is not worried about salary. If he has been offered a contract as you believe, he would have agreed immediately.

Ya Ya has been here a number of years now and must be reasonably settled in his house etcetera. He is a multi millionaire so surely a few Bob either way won't make a lot of difference Surely if he is offered a deal he would take it? Why go to a lesser club for more money, as I am not sure another top six side would break the bank for a thirty four year old, although the rags might as they did it with big conk..

How City fans should pay tribute to Toure
Man City fans should all bring cakes to tomorrow’s game against Leicester to mark Yaya Toure’s 34th birthday, according to agent Dimtri Seluk.

The City fans should all bring cakes to the game to show Yaya how much they love him,he told the Daily Mirror.

It looks like this will be Yaya’s final season with City and I think he deserves a special goodbye from the people of Manchester.

What happened three years ago was a joke that was misunderstood. I think everybody will be able to laugh about it if supporters give him a cake for this birthday.

Yaya loves City and he loves the fans. When he came, City could only dream about winning the Premier League and playing in the Champions League -- and he has made those dreams come true.

So Selek rises again!!
