Yaya Touré is set to be offered a new one-year deal by Manchester City, although the club is unsure if he will accept. [Guardian / Mirror]

Both Pep and Txiki believe Touré should be given chance to extend his stay, so nothing will be done to honour him on Tuesday. [Guardian]

Looks like a briefing from the club with a few different papers reporting it. Hope he signs.

A bit presumptuous by city we know what his agent is like we offer 1 year with less money he wants 2 years with the same money. We should entice him with 1 year extension with the option of 3 years at new York City

If true, we'll find out what Yaya values most and how much he thinks of City.

I very much hope that he wants to stay: he'll still be an important player for us, even with reduced game time.

We'd have lost against Leicester if he hadn't been on the ball.

He would have taken the penalty if he was going. That may have been his last chance to ever score for City again. The fact that tomorrow night is all about Zab, and nothing about Yaya, is a good indication that the club have offered him a one year contract. No doubt with a substantial wage drop. It will be up to him to accept it or not.

Cynical thought: MCFC offers him a reduced contract they suspect he'll turn down rather than just letting him go? He deserves better than that.

His performances deserve another year , especially after the Arsenal semi , money cant be that important for him and next season he could be a part of something very special .
