Well done on yaya and txiki who i think have sorted this out between them and kept seluk as far away fronm it as legally possible,he has found some balls to shut seluk up at last

Great news, IMHO.

He fully deserves another year given his performances since he came back into the side in November.

Although he can no longer produce the 40-50 metre runs that were such an impressive part of his armoury, he can still influence a game with his brilliant passing.

I doubt Yaya will play as much next season as he has this one just finished, but he will certainly be a very useful member of the squad.

if he plays in 34 games next season he will have played 333 in total for us.

Best player I've ever seen in a City shirt. I've got a few years behind me too. Fabulous in his day, glad we've got him for another year. He's not what he was but who is? Never seen anything like him.

Good news. May not always be the case but when a player turned down chance of moving elsewhere for more money or more playing time, it usually means he is extra motivated for the club

Good! He's been our second best player this season

best allround footballer i've seen, so happy he's signed for another year, still got plenty to give.

Great news and the big man totally deserved it. Great business by City as well. in the games he does play Yaya will show how important he still is. And after he ran Pogba ragged we can give him the goodbye he deserves for being one of the most influencial players ever to wear a City top.

His relationship, mentoring & status with the youngsters is great to see.

Giving Jesus that penalty was the act of a man who is embracing & relishing the role of senior pro & statesman. A man to look upto.

The youngsters referring to him as Uncle is a lovely sign of the affection they hold for him.

We know the player........we're now seeing the man we've always wanted.

Respect Yaya.

Just seen he's scored 81 goals in 299 games. That's a remarkable return for a midfielder.

Imagine if he made it 100 before the end of next season.... (If we got all the penalty's we should have had he'd probably be nearly there already!)

The Dream.... Yaya, FA Cup Final, at that end scoring his 100th City goal to win us the cup...... I can dream!

The thing that sets Yaya aside from just about all our players in the last 20 odd years has been his ability to play his best football in the really big games. FA Cup semi versus the Rags, Final Against Stoke, Final against Sunderland, Final against Liverpool - he's had a huge impact in all those games. Also in derby games and in premiership run in's etc. you could generally rely on him to be at the top of his game. Great player who performs when it really matters.
