Yaya Toure

Hart is too hot or cold for me to be concidered city greatest player which at the moment this thread seems to be about . Big Joe was much a better keeper in my old eyes too
Loved Big Joe he had incredible reach and one of my old time heroes but Hart is better all round keeper IMO, he's one of the main reasons we've maintained our top status over the past few years.

You should write scripts for Coronation Street, just make sure they're a tad more realistic so they don't think you've completely lost the plot.
Is it really that far fetched to say that a footballer, most of whom are the epitome of prima donnas, wants to go somewhere else to have it easier because their body is packing in but won't openly admit their body is packing in?

lets see if he bust a gut for us against the swans if he plays. if he does we will be in champs lg, if not we might not be and hes just playing for himself
Or he's simply not at the required athletic standard anymore and hasn't been for two years. He cannot compete at this level anymore. His legs have become too slow, he cannot keep up with the pace of games, he's carrying too much fat, he's far too unfit to play at this level. He knew it two years ago and that's why he really wanted to leave.

So are you saying that two years ago, what he really wanted was for City to put him on the transfer list?
Why did he accept (more likely ask for /demand) the role of vice captain?

Because they found out that the Itslians wouldn't match his salary and I expect we then told him that we weren't going to cover the gap.

Legend. Absolute legend. So, so many important moments (recent history) for this club have come from this man. Too many cry babies going on about his agent. So fucking what? Why does it bother people? I care about his performances (which granted this season have been shite - but near enough the whole team's been shite), and over his time here, he's 100% a legend in my eyes.

He basically craves respect and recognition. He felt disrespected at Barcelona when Busquets became the preferred option. He spat his dummy out and left. He joined us for two reasons, his brother was here and astronomical wages. Nothing to do with being part of a project. He started well and felt he should be spoken about in the same terms as Messi and Ronaldo. He wasn't. He felt disrespected again and insisted it was because he's African. He saw other players getting contract extensions at the club and didn't like the fact that he wasn't offered one. He felt disrespected again.
The last body of people who have shown him respect were the ones that pick African player of the year. They chose someone else after him winning it year after year. Didn't go down well.
Can none of you see the common denominator in all this?
Fantastic player, talented with great vision and skill.
As a person, selfish, arrogant and a smacked arse.

What a player he has been for us. So many vital goals at crucial times. One of those match winners who made you feel like you always still had a chance whenever he was on the pitch. The current Yaya is not that hard to replace but the Yaya in his prime is almost impossible and we still haven't done that yet which is why we have struggled in the last two years. We won't feel the loss of Yaya Toure when he leaves, we have felt it in the last two years when his decline started.

Let me get this right. You're calling people cry babies for being pissed off with Yaya for disrespecting our club, yet you're getting upset people aren't blowing smoke up Yaya's arse mainly because of his behaviour. Strange choice of moral high ground I must say.
