Yaya is not in the Barca team at present. So there could be mileage in this story.

However in my opinion he is overated by people on this board. His first touch is often cumbersome, not surprising as he is an enormous guy.

He probably would be well suited to the premier league though.

But a swop for Robinho, one of the best 10 players in the world, no way.

Incidentally Barca continue to thrash allcomers even without recognized stars Iniesta, Ibrahimovic. Guardiola is some manager.

I think his touch and passing are quality for such a big unit. He's the massive influence we severley lack when playing a top 4 side. He dominates the game because of his size and strength. I'd love to see him here.

I think he has all the best attributes of De Jong & Kompany combined. Where as De Jong has the mobility and stamina to close the ball down and chase things down, he lacks height. We've missed Kompany this season when defending set pieces and winning balls in the air from midfield, but he doesn't do all the nasty things as well as De Jong. It showed in the derby Barry, Ireland and De Jong aren't the best in the air.

With the addition of Toure we could have the best of both worlds.

Again though who would miss out, i know its a squad game, but competion for places is feirce and Kompany has yet to return from Injury.

You need to lose this idea of a "team", we're building a squad with at least 2 top class players for every position.

Yaya Toure is suchhhh a good player, he would be a superb addition to our side. He is very Vieira-esque and if we had him in our side i could see us having a greater chance of overpowering Liverpool, Utd and Chelsea at home in the middle of the park. We went to Old Trafford on sunday and didnt exactly have as much possession as we would of liked. We did first half, but we were battered in the 2nd half. I just feel Yaya could be the man to give us the physical presence in midfield and instill a lot more confidence into our side when playing away at Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Anfield just like Vieira did for Arsenal back in his day.

Love him at City.
