yaya.....

Re: Yaya - World class

I think Yaya would be better complimented by a more mobile/agile defense minded type such as Sandro.

I think him and Yaya may have been a tad 'cumbersome'.

Well Fernandihno is the mobile Agile kind. That said, I think most underestimate Felliani's ball skills. I think they would have been just fine.

Fernandinho has similar instincs though, both him and Yaya are more creative minded, although Fernandinho performs much better in the anchor role, neither are specialist and subsequently i think the partnership, especially without a strong centre half behind them, might struggle somewhat.

I respect your opinion fella but I believe they will be immense together , starting tomorrow.

I also love the chemistry between Nasri and Yaya this season.

I hope so.

Nasri and Yaya do look comfortable as a combination,i just hope their appetite doesnt wane...... consistency issues can be levelled at both.Perhaps the abscence of Silva is allowing them more freedom to influence?

I don't think you can rely on Nasri over a long period though. Seems to not have long term consistency.

That is more perceprion than anything else. One could say the same of any of our players. Or any player not named Messi or Ronaldo. Silva, Kompany, Zaba, Aguero and Joe Hart have all showed varying degrees of inconsistency. But because we like these players for their heights we often don't associate inconsistency with them or just chalk it up to a poor day. every player has this. Some might even Argue Silva has not been consistent since a 3 month period in the title winning season. Kompany was average a lot last season. Zaba who was great last season, has had a horrid time in the first 4 games of this season, yet many would rather switch him to the left and bench Kola on reputation. Even though Kolarov has show a higher level of consistency defensively this season than Zaba has. Joe Hart, well, yiu should have seen how the forum soured on him after the first 3 games.

Fact is, players, most players, get hot and cold over a season. Based on who is hot right now, Hart (back to form last 3 games), Kompany, Kolarov, and Nasri are our hottest players right now. And they should all start. Add Yaya to that list, Aguero's last game and Navas's energy. Nastasic's consistency, and Zaba being the only healthy left back. You ae left with 2 spots to ponder- Fernandino or Rodwell or Milner (I threw that in for the Milner Brigade :P) and Dzeko or Negredo. Both Negredo and Dzeko have been putting balls in the net. Negredo brings more hustle, but loses the ball more. Dzeko misses more chances and joins in less, but scores too.

These are the decisions in my mind.
