I think he was looking for an excuse to get out of that game, it was fast paced and newcastle were feeding off the crowd. Yaya looked knackered and was probably going to be a passenger.

Agreed, pace of the game much to fast for him.
He's never done anything like that before so why would he start now? Stop writing shit about a world class player who genuinely got injured

completely agree. I am so happy to have Yaya at City, and yet there are so many meany mouthed tossers on this forum who slag him off, unbefuckinglieveable

It was probably a combination of that challenge and his honorable decision to play on in the last match that culminated to him going off tonight, hopefully not out for too long and hell least there's no African cup this year!

Looked like he tweaked the left side of his back going for a tackle late on. Once you've done that it stiffens up pretty quickly and its hard to move well. Hopefully its just muscular.

Wow ..... Just wow!!
Do either if you actually watch football and understand the game?
Slagging off a world class player, we are truly becoming some spoiled bitches here!

I just posted tubes of "Deep Heat" and "Voltaren" to him - he can choose which one to use but they both smell a bit. I want him back on the pitch asap.

Voltaren is not nice stuff ... it messes pretty badly with the stomach .... take it only when absolutely necessary.

Agree that those slagging Yaya for this need a reality check!!!

You can actually get Voltaren in a gel to rub on the skin to relieve pain. Agree with the tablet form though, take it at your peril!

Grief if Yaya uses the gel and forgets to wash his hands we could see him moving at an increased speed in the next game!

Any one else get the impression he's faking it for a few weeks off? He's a lazy player who is a frequent liability anyway, I wouldn't put it past him.

He did the same last January and the one before that too.
