Any one else get the impression he's faking it for a few weeks off? He's a lazy player who is a frequent liability anyway, I wouldn't put it past him.

He did the same last January and the one before that too.

I hope this is a piss poor fishing attempt?

I think he had a hamstring injury last Jan/Feb for about a month. Season before it was a calf strain.

I think he's referring to African Nations Cup.

he went to Nigeria a day or 2 days before the game, so could be tired.

He looked well off the pace yesterday, but when you add up the niggles and the travelling, well its understandable. Unfortunately with the Samir injury he just isn't gonna get the one thing he obviously needs, a couple of weeks off.
Sorry big fella', get that shirt on.

Any genuine info of his injury? Hope its just an impact injury could see him playing on Wednesday anyway to be honest. Couldn't imagine him ever faking an injury to get out of playing regardless of the type or pace of the game.

Well given he wanted it in his contract that he always starts, then he's not likely to be a skiver is he.

Pellers said he had a problem with his back all week
I dont suppose going on a plane to Nigeria helped with that

For me Yaya is an enigma all be it a great one to have in your side, but still an enigma

He disappears from the game, kicks out at opponents risking yellow/red cards, often miss-passes the ball, lumbers around as if he's injured etc

BUT then does some of the sweetest little runs you've ever seen, splits a defence with a visionary pass and slams in free kick after free kick which obviously means he's put a lot of work in to perfect them..

Really can't tell if he's just playing for himself or a real team member - guess it doesn't matter

I know when he fell like a heap on the ground v West Ham in the Cup and the rest of the team just carried on pummelling the West Ham goal he didn't look pleased. And against Newcastle, there was something strange about him.

Ah well, that's entertainment

He was carrying an injury against Newcastle as confirmed by Pellegrini. Playing for himself? Don't agree with that!!
