yaya.....

A friend who's an Arsenal fan says he's better than "a prime Viera". That's some compliment that I wouldn't disagree with. Attacking wise he's an unstoppable beast.

How can can still moan about Yaya? No player is without flaws, and Yaya has one (defensive contribution), but is more complete than most other midfielders in the world. He deserves god status at City.

Also, those chipped long balls of his >

Under Mancini we too often tried to pass our way through narrow spaces, now we mix it up with wing play, longer balls, and the usual passing through the middle.

Correct. Played a key role in three goals today and generally ran the game. For such a crap defender he started the move in which he scored with a great challenge.

-- Sat Jan 18, 2014 10:02 pm --

Poor in general today IMO, yet again let off because he scored an absolute belter.

One of the more clueless comments I've seen.

Just watched the full match replay, he was superb today.

Loved Shearer's comment on MOTD in reply to a comment made by Didi Hamann a while back saying that Yaya was (at times) a liability. Shearer said; ''I'd want eleven liabilities like that in my team''.

I love how unpredictable he is. You never know which Yaya will turn up and, in a way, its what makes him the player he is. Today, he was quality. Made me laugh that he was so pissed off at losing possession, he decided he'd score. That passage of play sums the guy up. Love him.

Easily one of the best players we have ever had. I really do despair sometimes when some on here moan because he's not running round like Milner. That's not his game so I wish some would stop expecting that. He is a born winner, as strong and quick as they come and he is technically brilliant. We are so lucky to have him in our team and I wish some would realise that.

I'd disagree only marginally mind but he's definitely more accomplished in front of goal.
