Mario worked extremely hard today. This will sound a bit weird, but the number offsides he had is a little encouraging.

I had pretty much this conversation with another blue at the match, who was saying Mario had a shit game. He makes run after run off the shoulder of the last defender and the midfield - especially Nasri IMO - are too slow to deliver the pass.

Mario deserved to go that night. But the ref did fall for Dynamo Kiev players play acting that night too. But the referee was worse last night by far!
