I don’t think he’s suggesting there’s a specific surprise signing on the way - or that’s not how I read it anyway.

More that plans for the summer are progressing at pace and with real purpose.

The farthing if I remember correctly had a Wren on one side. I went to Belle Vue Dogs with my Dad around the late 60’s and he put a brown ten bob note on the first race, said “if this wins we’re here for a good night”, it lost and we were on two bob bets for the rest of the meeting, it was a great night though, the track was packed with punters.

I eventually owned a Greyhound at Belle Vue, Rathlure Steamer who won many races before a happy retirement in 1990, he lived until the age of 17.

These players aren’t going to make us match PSG.

All PSG players are quick, fast and technical.

Haaland, Marmoush, Doku won’t close down defenders like they do.
Rodri Reijnders and Nico G are quick around the pitch and as tenacious as Vitinha, Neves and Ruiz.

We all have to face facts that our time of being the best is over for a few years.

This window won’t get us back.
