i am at a loss to understand the adulation that mancini receives on these pages, for the outlay we look incredibly average.

up until today we have had the lowest amount of shots on goal of any premier league side, we have failed to score in half of our games.

go back to last season both cup competitions were squandered, we barely had shots against the top sides never mind scored, and we threw fourth away when it was in our grasp.

we have spent heavily and yet still have few alternatives up front unless it involves flogging thew wonderful tevez to death.

we have a reluctance to commit bodies forward (COMPLETELY UNTRUE) even when playing teams who barely have a player whom would get on our bench.

and the cagey nature of the football doesnt make for a great spectacle for the vast sums of money we all pay (WELL I ENJOYED IT!)

i believe we have a wonderful set of players whom are being restricted, and at this point, looking at results it's hard to argue against.

yes, he's had four games (without a lot of his new signings). let's sack mancini and get er.........someone in.

come on tow the line shit pre season shit start to the season shit end of the season roll on gary megson or bring back the taff

maybe i've read this wrong but for me winning isn't always that counts! I happen to like arsehole wengers way of playing good entertaining football. If we play shite but win 3-0 i don't personally leave the ground patting myself on the back!

I've watched some shit football at city over the years and I dreamed of dominating games, showing great touches etc! I love where we are at the mo! Yes I was pissed off with the result today but please don't lets become "win at all costs regardless of play and style" because then we'd sound like rags!

I agree, but i understand the situation we're in, we need to deliver as opposed to simply look nice.

I think Wenger's style of football is out of date personally, he's been found out for a few years now.

I thought Mancini had brought the 'evolution'. Possesion, quick movement, set up defensively, but with the falir to create once the opposition had been stretched and worn down. The balance between clean sheets and 3 poitns.

The problem for me is not today, but more often than not we're failing to dominate possesion AND create chances. We rely too much on an individual moment of brilliance to keep us in matches as opposed to a team effort.

My main gripe atm is how we are utilising Tevez.

watching city at the moment is like watching a great big firework, it comes out of the box, it looks fantastic, everyone,s getting excited by what is to come, you light it... then .....PFFFFTTTT....eveyone trudges home.
that is all.

He didn't have many alternatives today. Barry should have started in place of Vieira, but I don't think Silva is ready. He struggled badly the last time he played and played in South America in mid-week with all the travel that involves. Need to give him bits and pieces and bring him on from the bench preferavly when we're doing well

Your comment about Mancini is not worthy of you. Should Redknapp also be sacked?

Balotelli hasn't been available to Mancini. Adebayor is injured. Both full backs are injured. In the circumstances we didn't have many options, and most people on Bluemoon predicted we'd start with AJ and SWP on the wings with Tevez or Jo down the middle.

The game started off with City playing some good attacking football, but the goal changed it, and we didn't have enough in the tank to turn it around

We didn't throw it away last season. Mancini inherited an unbalanced squad, and got lumbered with the negative tag because Hughes had a team full of defensive midfielders, and the two attacking midfielders in Robinho and Ireland either wanted out, or couldn't be bothered.

4 League games in with his new squad and only Toure and Milner have really been available.

I am quite happy with the style of football we are playing. The players just need time to get their game flowing. The results will come I am sure of it.

disagree about wenger-for me he is the best manager in england over the last 10 years....not baconface! he has values which he expects off his players. he has been unlucky over the last few years with a weakened side that he really should have strenghthened. maybe this needs a seperate thread? he isn't faultless and i'm told he is a control freak who should have spent some of the money that he was given in the last few years! anyway he always finishes close regardless of the inefficiencies of his teams! I'm frustrated as usual with the negativity on here which i suppose is inevitable! we played and battered pool recently and everyone wanted mancini to go for pm. similar game today, we were unlucky and everyones kicking off!

agree about tevez!
