why do you call someone who let the flares off at the CC game last year "a dickhead"? 99% of fans in attendance (red and blue) agreed it helped stoke the atmosphere up a notch or two. It wasn't used as a weapon, it was merely to try to piss City fans off when you had your Bluemoon light display.
personaly, i would love all football matches to be like that atmosphere last season. Those sorts of atmospheres (predominantly all night games) make you believe in the game again and reinforce why you care so much about this game. Lets hope Wednesday's atmosphere will be as good although i doubt it with Utd's allocation being reduced and the fact that half the Utd tickets end up in the hands of the "wrong type of fan"
Still, bring it roll.
Oh, so he was just a cheerleader, rather than a sad, fat, middle-aged MIB wannabe? Why break football safety and possibly firearms legislation? Why was he wearing a ridiculous goggle hood then, pretending to be an 'ultra'? And what about all the weapons confiscated at the turnstiles, from the rodents who were trying to jib the gates by passing tickets back? Were they just there for 'atmosphere'? The twats who forced a piece of fencing over and attacked families? Just banter, was it?
I don't know who you've been talking to but everyone I know thinks they guy with the flare, along with the others mentioned, are complete scumbags.
And you have not addressed what would be the reaction from police/stewards if a City fan did the same thing at the Trafford tourist attraction?

You dont know what he was as you dont know him. If you want to talk about breaking football H&S regulations then we are all fooked as we all stand in an all seater ground, drink beer when we shouldnt, throw objects (lighter at Evra anybody)..FFS, grow a pair....like i said, the vast majority on here stated it was "one of the best atmospheres in a long time"..flares, light shows, night games, all added to this in my opinion.
If you did it at Old Trafford, I would be gutted in all honesty, but its all about "getting one over the enemy" the police will have a different view but i dont really care about them. THEY were the idiots that KNEW it was going to go off at the CC game. THEY were the ones who let both sets of fans out at the same time. THEY were the ones who were more intent on FILMING the trouble rather than preventing it. THEY fucked up big time and we will all pay the penalty for that in the fact that they will be draconian in their actions from now on.
Even I think that City fans singing about Munich is banter in all honesty. The vast majority dont sing it to glorify death, they do it to "wind Utd fans up" End of. If some Utd fans take it the wrong way then thats their call.
PS - Trafford Tourist attraction, ha ha..Like it

according to a mate of mine on facebook who goes home and away.

They looked decent last time.

I am all for them, they create a better atmosphere.

Good! We were lauding the Hamburg fans for doing it! They definately add to the atmosphere!
