Young lads you want to see progress to the first team...

i may sound pessimistic, but i guarantee none of these guys will ever play for a prolonged period of time for man citys 1st team

sorry

Razak, Rekik and Suarez look very good prospects. Of the "home-grown" talent Courtney Meppen-Walter looks an impressive defensive prospect.

Suarez and Rekik in particular have been bought precisely to develop into first team players, the club is not looking to spend £100m+ in every transfer window!

rekik will do it

All of the mentioned + Harry Bunn, about the only Mancunian who stands even the slightest chance in the next few years.

But like Mourinho, Mancini prefers to buy than persist with youth products so I'm not sure even the exceptionally talented will get much of a chance (at least not until the pressure is off Mancini, if ever). Razak has the best chance as he plays a role we aren't massively overstocked with. Assulin/Roman/Suarez have their work cut out for them now with Nasri and Silva at the club although the latter two are still teenagers so lots of time.

I think you'll be surprised I can see Mancini playing a few in the Carling Cup to be honest...

Lets hope I'm right anyway.

what happened to nimely? looked a decent little player

He's really injury prone so it is hard to tell where he is at now, the club still seemed to rate him highly before his last set of injuries. Just missed the U20 World Cup because of his latest injury. Guidetti has overtaken him now so it may be curtains for Nimely although he can play wide too.

How can you sat that when there are 5-6 mancunians in the under 18's now that have countless england caps, where as Harry Bunn has none.

Meppen-Walter, Evans, Plummer, Cole, Glendon and Facey are all Mancunians in the Under 18's who have around 50+ England U16 and U17 caps between them.
