Young Scrotes in away end

The problem is this, If there is a problem?

Our away support is made of two age groups, 40's and over, and under/early 20's. There's not much in between age wise. We've essentially lost 2 generations of support to United.(late 20's and 30's)

So you get this on-going Blue Moon conflict, that doesn't really to exist on the concourse or terraces, between the old guard and the young guns.

Compare that to United's away support, which is evenly spread age wise, with tickets being allocated via ballot, rather than loyalty points, meaning fans of all ages get the chance to watch United away.

BOYS IN BLUE
City - Manchester City
We are the lads who are playing to win
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in

Football is the game that we all live for
Saturday is the day we play the game
Everybody have to pull together
And together we will stand
Even if we're playing down at Maine Road
Or if we play a million miles away
There will always be a loyal fan behind us
To cheer us on our way

City - Manchester City
We are the lads who are playing to win
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in

Blue and white we play together
We will carry on forever more

Maybe in another generation
When other lads have come to take our place
They'll carry on the glory of the City
Keeping City in the place

City - Manchester City
We are the lads who are playing to win
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in

Dunney Dunney, he'll put a crush on you.
Dunney Dunney, he's over 6 foot 2
Dunney Dunney, he's coming after you-oooo.

And when he ran, was like a Chieftan Tank,
And when he jumped, the ground beneath him sank.
Dunney Dunney,he's coming after you-oooo.

Oh Dunney, Dunney's Blue, he's coming after you,
Dunney, Dunney's Blue, he's over 6 foot 2,
Dunney, Dunney's Blue, he'll put a crush on you-oooooooo

Number one is Colin Bell
Number two is Colin Bell
Number three is Colin Bell

... [etc] ... and in the end:

The subsitute is Colin Bell
The referee is Colin Bell
The man who sells the pies is Colin Bell

BLESS 'EM ALL (1956)
(tune: Bless 'em all)

Bless 'em all, Bless 'em all
Bert Trautmann, Dave Ewing and Paul
Bless Roy Little who blocks out the wing
Bless Jack Dyson the penalty king
And with Leivers and Spurdle so tall
And Johnstone, the Prince of them all
Come on the light blues
It's always the right blue
So cheer up me lads
Bless 'em all

Blue Moon, You saw me standing alone
Whitout a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Blue Moon, You knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I could really care for

Then suddenly they'll appear before me
The only one my arms could ever hold
I heard someone whisper "Please adore me"
And when I looked my moon had turned to gold.

Blue Moon, now I'm no longer alone
I have a dream in my heart
I have a love of my own

... an addition to the 1989 verse for 2013 :-)

Blue Moon - You started singing our tune
You won't be singing for long
Because we beat you 4-1

A mix of young and old, will that do??!!! So who isn't singing now? :-)

Like any retail area needs new shops from time to to stop things from going stale, so our away support needs new kids going to games and, as long as they stay the right side of the law, mixing things up a bit, singing a lot and maybe being a little annoying from time to time as well.

It's not a fucking social club where new members can be back-balled for singing to much.

Surely the one's singing too little are the ones voting, EB? ;-)

That's why they're the one's complaining!

Good point. I just don't get it that's all, we are all there to support City and singing or non-singing (I'm a singing btw even on my own) we should all be equal and encouraged. But then I am (almost) always a glass half full person. But I do understand what you are saying GDM.

-- Sun Sep 29, 2013 12:51 pm --

p.s. I am thinking of changing my user name to Puzzled of Eccles or Confused of Eccles, what do you think??? ;-)
