Young Scrotes in away end

No different to what it`s allways been,if anything it`s a little more gentile nowdays....if you want to sit quietly and undisturbed by the great unwashed
go sit in a corp box.

The problem is this, If there is a problem?

Our away support is made of two age groups, 40's and over, and under/early 20's. There's not much in between age wise. We've essentially lost 2 generations of support to United.(late 20's and 30's)

So you get this on-going Blue Moon conflict, that doesn't really to exist on the concourse or terraces, between the old guard and the young guns.

Compare that to United's away support, which is evenly spread age wise, with tickets being allocated via ballot, rather than loyalty points, meaning fans of all ages get the chance to watch United away.
Keep it quiet, but it appears the Rags have got a better system....

Is this sarcastic or a WUM?

As for the age brackets. Maybe it's because most 'youngsters' still live at home with their rents so can afford to go to away days and the 40 odd bracket bought their houses on the cheap before we started gettin ripped off to fook so have more spare cash ?. I'm 30 and me and my missus are treatin ourselves to a nice holiday and then we're lookin at clamping down and saving like fook so we don't have to carry on being ripped off renting. i can see attending football matches becomin a lot less common . Maybe more are in this position and that's why you don't get as many in their 30s goin to games ?.

The term scrotes to describe some of our younger fans is offensive and over the top. OK so a few have a few too many to drink....didn't you when you were 18 - 24? By and large they are good natured and add to the atmosphere. Our games would be poorer for it if they dwindled in number. They compliment us old codges in our late 40's early 50's really well. We should be congratulating them, occasionally reminding them when they step over the line, but by and large we should be embracing them. The 1894 Group, The Citizens and The City Centre Blues, mostly our younger element, should be congratulated. Keep up the good work. Don't intimidate women or kids and you'll all blossom into the top support we deserve.

Couldn't agree more. I'm 54 and been following City since I was 8 years old. If it wasn't for the current young supporters the atmosphere home and away would be shite. I go to 90% of the away games and apart from the odd dickhead the young lads who go are sound. In Plzen last week when everybody said the atmosphere was great, it was mainly down to about 20 young lads next to the fence singing new songs and keeping the noise going all game. Get off their backs and just remember how some of our generation behaved in the 70's & 80's. Rant over!

Before you are allowed to buy a ticket for an away game the ticket office should ask the question 'are you a scrote?'

And they should then add, sing a City song before we sell you a ticket!! :-)

and if you comply you are refused a ticket and given 3 game ban
