30 years ago mate, went to 3 gigs that year at the Apollo:
The Damned (Black Album tour)
Adam & the Ants (Kings of the wild frontier tour)

1st: The Clash at Belle vue Elizebethan ballroom.
2nd: Buzzcocks same venue
3rd: Buzzcocks Mayflower club
4th: Some rock against racism festival in Manc. I think the Clash headlined.

I was at that gig, don't think the Clash were on though?

The Fall, Steel Pulse, John Cooper Clarke, The Buzzcocks, The Normal are the ones i can remember.

£3-50 a ticket ,brilliant gig too

went to that 12 of of us from reddish top day out , my first gig was the clash, subway sect ,and the slits at the Electric Circus, Manchester 1977, second concert 10 cc at belle vue gorton

The Clash didn’t play the Electric circus mate as far as I am aware.. We were big clash fans and had to wait for them at the Apollo I think it was. And a couple of other bands ducked the venue namely The sex pistols and Blondie.

Monsters of rock in 83 then Robert Plant at the apollo also in 83

I was at that, the most violent gig I've ever been to, the air was dark with flying cider bottles, I've never seen so many split-open heads. Brilliant gig that, The Damned were fuckin' ace and that was the first time I saw Johnny Clark. Great shout on the Freshies too (RIP Frank).
Harlem spirit were brilliant that day too.
