your best holiday

Skiathos. Little Greek island is beautiful and has some great beaches. Stay in the Town if you go. There's basically one main road that runs from the town at one end of the island to koukaneries beach at the other end. You always end up in town at night so it's easier to stay there. Those buses get pretty full!

Dubrovnik is also well worth a visit.

Skiathos probably wins for a couples holiday. There's something very special about that place.

Its that time of year again for looking at holidays, looking for inspiration, can you help by telling me your favourite place to go.
Must be sunny and warm, in Europe and ideal for a couple (not a party place).
dont mind if its all inclusive, half board or b&b. hotel not apartments.
cheers guys

Las Vegas for me

nerja sounds good, been to granada, not to far away, loved the place.
Went to Alhambra Palace for the day -spectacular
yep
great place

Done a tour of Andalucia a couple of years ago
spent 3 weeks travelling around by train...started in Almeria then 3 nights in Granada(graet place)
then on to Seville 3 nights,Cordoba 2 nights,Cadiz
3 nights(worth a visit) then the rest of the time
back in Almeria on the beach at Mojacar

nice way to spend 3 weeks and see some of the real spain

Sardinia is worth a visit

Fuck Malta it's full of rags,my old man and his missus went a couple of years ago and he's mooching about, into a bar and the bloke tells him it's the headquaters of the rags supporters club.
My dad tells him to stick your beer up your arse and walks out, though he did say once his eyes had adjusted to the bar light it was like that Stretford superstore in there.

This all day long.
The locals just want to fleece you,the food is dreadful, and the beaches are virtually non-existent.
You could replicate a holiday here simply by staying at home, hiring a sunbed, filling the fridge with ale and having a stroppy missus throw badly-cooked chips at you twice a day.
The smaller Greek islands are always a fair bet,and maybe a bit cheaper now given their current economic woes.
Good shout also from those suggesting Andalucia.
Some of the smaller villages in the Sierra Nevada mountains are beautiful.
