With City clearly in a deep crisis at the moment having won 4 league titles on the bounce and writing English football history in the process but then losing 5 games in a row, it got me thinking....what is your favourite City crisis?

Was it when Thaksin was getting banged up in Thailand and the club looked like it could be finished?

How about failing to score at home under Stuart Pearce from New Years Day until the end of the season?

Or were those draws under Mark Hughes the crisis you enjoyed?

How about 5 different managers (including caretakers) in 96/97?

Or was it relegation to the third tier in 98 that you enjoyed the most?

Personally it was Pellegrini's toothless CL semi-final at Real Madrid that I enjoyed the most. That was a real crisis.

Didnt we draw for about 3 months in a row under that prick hughes. That was a fun crisis

I remember going to Filbert Street to watch us in a vital relegation battle with fellow strugglers Leicester.

It was a must win game.....

....We lost 4-0.

We sung our hearts out for 90 minutes though.
I enjoyed that crisis.

Not sure about favourites but nothing was as bad as that season under Stuart Pearce.

Still, I take the positives as it made sure my lad truly knew what it is to be a City fan.

As I frequently had to tell him during those times, it’s easy to support a winning team (all his mates were Chelsea or utd fans at the time); being a true fan is sticking with your team through thick and thin - or as was the case for us, through thin and thin.

Relegation to the third tier at Stoke will always stick in my mind as the lowest point, yet strangely cathartic. I remember the train stopping at Macclesfield on the way back to Manchester and everyone singing "we only hate Macclesfield" knowing that was our derby next season. It could have gotten lower, but it never did.
