Not seen "Lucky Feller" mentioned yet. Not my fave but was funny at the time.
There are 64 episodes plus specials.I think there's about 200 episodes. I probably seen about 10 if that.
Only 64 episodes? Thought it went for over 20 years so assumed there were heaps of them. There are 64 episodes plus specials.
I think some of it was the mickeytaking of the camel coat people on the make, but again it started nearly 45 years ago.

I have a flashback image of her advertising cream cakes...?Don't think "Nighty Night" has been mentioned ?
Julia Davis wrote and starred in it.
Full of unsavoury characters and black humour.
Love Julia Davis !!!

On average, about one in every 10 episodes was good, sometimes hilarious, but overall I agree. It was really wasn’t that good.Always thought fools & horses was shite…..
As brilliant as it was, it wasn’t a sit com surely? If I had to choose just one, it would probably be Auf Wiedersehen Pet.
The Yanks love Are you being served. It’s almost like when I’m introduced to someone, once we’ve got beyond “I have a friend in Devon, Simon Brown, if you know him? The subject turns to British TV and “I love Are you being served and keeping up appearances…”I’m definitely watching old comedies with new eyes. There was an episode of Rising Damp where Rigsby is trying to teach Alan how to charm a posh girl he was dating and the scene involves him to go through how to enter a room, acknowledge the girl, flash the cuff links and adjust the trouser seam before sitting down. The two go back and forth rehearsing this routine, Rigsby is perfect (in his silly way) and does it quicker and quicker but Alan is lost. It must have taken ages to perfect.
I even saw a bit of Oh Dr Beeching and Su Pollard was good in it, but no way would I have watched it back in the day.
That said, Are You Being Served? Again! is still terrible.
George & MildredA few that have been missed off the list:
Ain't half hot Mum
Two Doors Down
Malcolm in the Middle
The Middle
Is that the one where Alan sits down, crosses his leg and launches the coffee table into mid air?I’m definitely watching old comedies with new eyes. Good shout, I'd have guessed more than that. I wonder how many times they've repeated it on Gold. There are 64 episodes plus specials.

Game On is currently being repeated most nights on one of the Freeview Channels - number 81 I think.Game on (but not seen it in years)
