Perfect Hat-trick?

Five-fer?

Hole in one?

Straight tens on the Pommel Horse?

What is your finest Sporting Hour?

I've played rugby at Twickenham, played for my county, but I think the hat-trick of tries I scored against London Scottish in a 15 minute period (before going off injured) was my finest moment, a real "give me the ball, watch me score" game. Other than that, a fighting, 80-minute rearguard action against London Irish where we defended our 22 for 80 minutes only to lose by a single penalty, was really proud of the way we all pulled together and put ourselves on the line.

I've had a few in various different sports but just this past Sunday was awesome. Playing cricket, I hadn't ever bowled with my left arm before. To my surprise as much as anyone else' I took 3 wickets for 5 runs off 3 overs plus had a hat-trick ball dropped! But then that was nothing compared to the one handed 6 I hit straight down the ground to a standing ovation from the crowd. I've had bigger and better sporting achievements but that 6 was something I never thought I would do again. The feeling was awesome.

A crowd at a game in mid-November? That's great!

The future of club-cricket is safe...

Playing in a challenge tour event (golf) and being captured on sky ripping a 3 iron to 2 feet then missing the putt.

This ^^ some bird whilst i'd had a few, managed to pot the pink in one.

My debut for the Pear Tree (Northern Moor) my uncle took me down there and asked the Manager to give me a run out, I came on as a sub with 20 minutes to go and scored 5 ! There was an official signing on form in the bar with free beer :)

playing for AFC Stanley in my age group and getting to the final 3 years in a row losing 2 but leading my team out as captain 3rd time round at Hyde Fc's Ground as a 17 year old boy and scoring a penalty during the match in which we went onto win 3-0. Family have a DVD of the game somewhere, might slap it on now.

:( this was 4 years ago now dont think ill ever have that feeling again

When all the good players in my year had other football to concentrate on I sneaked my way into the starting eleven. About 3 mins into my 'debut' the ball neatly passed from left wing and I swung across it on the half-volley out side of my right foot and smacked it in. The other 87 mins and subsequent games went downhill from that sweet moment.

You didn't bother having the trial?

Do you ever wonder if you'd have been up to scratch?

Luckily I learned the game living in America and I knew I couldn't make a decent living from it here, as alot of the guy's that do not make it big in the U.S are playing in Europe.

This was a number of years ago, so maybe time's have changed for the guy's when it come's to earning...I hope so anyway, as not making it in America should not really be a yard stick to be measured by.

But importantly, I still enjoy the sport, whether that be watching or having a game.

Should have said; lived in the States from the age of 9-16 then came back to England.

My first judo gold as a kid.Got some photos somewhere.
