Your Most Unhinged Football Take?

Ryan Giggs “great dribble” goal was only a goal because of poor keeping. Had Seaman stood up it would have been just another attempt at goal

Yeah, it gets played again and again when there's any FA cup related stuff on TV. It was poor defending and keeping.

Romelu Lukaku moved from Inter to Chelsea as part of a scam to help Inter out of a financial hole.

He joined Chelsea for a huge fee, kicked off a few months in, said he had "unfinished business" with Inter, went back on loan and eventually left Chelsea for next to nothing. It was a bizarre episode that makes so much more sense if he knew he'd be back at Inter when he left.

David Beckham wasn't that good a footballer. Dead ball specialist with great PR.

Nobody else seems to be able to see it.
that isn't unhinged tbf, everyone knows he was bang average but could score a freekick of two.

having nice hair and shagging a spice girl was his only talent.

Pretty sure a City player (Franny, maybe?) got away with a ludicrously blatant handball at Highbury back in the day. I seem to recall him basically punching away a goal bound header off the line. At the clock end? Or was that another team?
Long time ago, but I think you have got that the wrong way round, a Arsenal player clearly puched the ball over the bar to stop a city goal and the ref Gordon hill? said he didnt see it because the sun was in his eyes?,
Although I do seem to remember franny scored a goal at Maine Road with his hand which was given?

David White was the jewel from our youth cup win who made the first team from 87/92 and not Paul lake.
Although being 9/10 year old at the time wingers/strikers always get more recognition....runs and hides.

I really liked Liverpool as a team when I was a lad. No one in school was a Liverpool supporter- basically a straight split between City and United.
I also was supporting any English or Scottish team in European games (bar 1).

That all changed at Anfield when they wrecked our bus Heysel in relation to Liverpool. It

My current "unhinged take" is that football is enjoyable.

Bring on today's sh*tshow!!!

I fully expect this to be that our stadium's capacity is reduced by 8000 seats and the press have a field day (rightly so)

Currently a good day for us is no news.

Ricky Villa's solo goal against us in the 81 final was hugely overrated. Rank bad defending, no one put in a challenge. And the c**t reduced a 10 year old me to tears.
I was at the game and it must have been 30 years until I'd watch the goal again, seemed to be on tv every fucking week, I'd just close my eyes.

Hate spursy.
