how about putting an OPTIONAL donation link on the site, so that those that want to can do and the money go to updating the site, or into a cash reserve to pay for future developments?
Also I think deleting the usernames with no posts would be good as there's no need for them if you can read the site for free anyway.
Finally just make sure everyone's on top of everything, we'll be fine, maybe get an expert to have a look at the technical side of it...

Na, Damo's done a great job but nobody can do everything, so maybe an expert external viewpoint will see things we're missing...

nope, that's my honest opinion, I've been frustrated with site issues in the past but Damo has been honest, upfront and tried his best with it.
If that's a bannable offence then so's breathing.(Note, any joke ban after this post will be out of order).

Just get rid of the guests. There were 500+ guests on tonight. They always slow the forum down.
Also, get rid of the threads like 'Last person to post gets £20!', and get rid of the people who made accounts more than a year ago and have made less than 50 posts, or something?
(The above are all a waste of bandwidth).
